About The Tavern Inn Newquay
The Tavern Inn Newquay sits on Mellanvrane Lane, a British pub and bar and grill that doubles as a family restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking on site. The kitchen runs an extensive food menu and centres on a Sunday carvery, and dogs are welcome throughout. A dedicated children's area comes with toys to keep younger visitors occupied, while board games sit out for guests who want to linger. Screens around the room show live sport, and the team keeps customers in the loop on kitchen wait times so nobody is left guessing. The pub operates on a walk-in basis, and the surrounding space lends itself to families, groups of friends, and match-day crowds looking for a relaxed meal or a drink outside.

“Really tasty food. We enjoyed our dinner, staying for pudding as well. The staff were friendly and coped very well with a large party who had badly behaved children. Thank you for a great meal.”

“Went there Fri 21st Aug 2026. Bar staff are so rude. I asked when my food would be ready, the staff member said 'cooking time' I said 'sorry, excuse me'. She said it again. I asked if it would be 10 mins, 20 mins. Ready when it's ready was the answer. Male bar staff was also rude, when I asked for a drink. Needless to say, I won't be going there again. It was such an unpleasant encounter and I was perfectly polite.”
