  “Concept: Let's admit it. Do you have the energy after work to prepare a healthy meal or do you prefer to have everything ready and spend your time on TikTok scrolling? Personally, I belong to the second category. Yafa Grill House was an asset for Newport and actually one of the reasons I asked to relocate from Fareham to Wales. However, it closed for good on 10/01/2026. Initially, my palate felt a heavy depression. I tested various takeaways but nothing could make me enthusiastic. On 13/02/2026 after work and after shopping in ASDA and Sainsburys, I was exhausted. Randomly, I found out this hidden gem. I ordered a chicken soup with noodles which was a healthy and economical solution for dinner. Thus, gradually, I started visiting the takeaway more frequently and finding out more exciting foods. Food items that i tried (so far) and really enjoyed: Chicken and noodles soup, chicken and mushrooms soup, chicken and sweetcorn soup, crabmeat and sweetcorn soup, chicken with pineapples, chicken in tomatoes and garlic sauce, chicken egg foo young, roast pork egg foo young, and tomato egg foo young. Price: I pay usually between £3.70 and £6.70 for my needs. Methods of payment: Debit cards and cash are acceptable. Staff: Polite and very helpful.”

  “Been using this place for over 15 years ,2 addresses in bettws and always been great lovely food always hor. Tonight we ordered the usual over £50 worth of food the egg fried rice was awful the curry bland chow mein worst we have ever tasted only thing eatable was chicken balls pancake rolls and chips. Even the poppadoms were soft phoned to say worst meal we have had of you. Was told nothing wrong with curry as they tasted it they know is not right but the chow mein should be fine. We can send some poppadoms for you (😉 ) well sorry to say thanks for all the years of good food but you see us ordering again. What a shame 🫠”

  “Delivered my food two hours late I rang them told me not to order there no more very very rude. Chicken is still pink inside hair inside my food absolutely disgusting. I highly recommend to stay away from this place. Avoid at all cost I can honestly say it’s the worst takeaway in Newport I wouldn’t give this food to my dog absolutely vile”

  “Won't buy from here again now enough is enough, for some reason just received a house special curry,house special rice and a large noodles and it's like eating a vindaloo? , my tongue is on fire, my son loves a medium curry and found this too spicy 🔥, also from previous order don't buy crab meat soup it's cheap sea food sticks NOT CRAB meat ,ex customer”

  “Absolutely love this place! I order from here all the time, and the Singapore vermicelli rice noodles are hands down my favourite ...you probably already recognise my order by now 😄 Please don’t ever change that dish, it’s perfect as it is❤️ The portion sizes are always generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is super friendly and fast every single time. It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right, but you guys really do. Highly recommend to anyone...Ill definitely keep coming back!”

  “I have ordered from red hot goodies a few times and I never complained about any food, I have looked at my food and straight away I have seen something off, there was a maggot on my lamb I rang them back and the man said he had to come back to my house to confirm which I thought was a bit unprofessional as I sent a picture to him to see and it was very clear that it was. He came to my house and played with it in his hand and said it’s not a maggot a something about the inside, it wasn’t making sense, it is 100% a maggot,confirming it with loads of people.And I still haven’t got a refund so I will be reporting it and not eating from there sgain”

  “I tried to order on my iPhone (Apple Safari) and it would not work. I then phoned in and repeated the exact same order. When the food arrived (an hour and a half delivery time), the one order was incorrect. I ordered Chicken Balls in Sweet & Sour source but only got a container of Sweet & Sour source. When I called back the man said that I didn’t order Chicken Balls, and that I would need to pay delivery again for them to send the item. I was furious and swore that I would not buy from them again. However, the food we did receive was delicious - the best Chinese we have had in Newport - so we will persevere. So much potential but they need to sort their ordering and delivery out.”

  “Always order from here, and the food is always beautiful and hot, waiting times for delivery is roughly an hour but normally comes before, would definitely recommend”
