About Flint Pizza
Flint Pizza is a pizza restaurant at 218a Chillingham Rd in Newcastle Upon Tyne, open Wednesday to Saturday and closed Sunday through Tuesday. Every pizza is made and cooked in an open kitchen. The menu pairs a regular set of choices with new additions and specials that change regularly, so the line-up shifts over time. The Sopressata pizza with hot honey is one of the choices, and the Margherita is another for anyone who prefers a plainer pie. Tiramisu is on offer for dessert. The restaurant is a small one, and a wait outside is common. Three sauces and dips are offered, including a garlic dip, for dunking the crusts.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the pizza itself, praising a crisp, charred base and generous toppings, with the sopressata and hot honey pairing named repeatedly. The fennel sausage, Margherita, squash and potato pizzas also earn mentions, and one reviewer who likes Neapolitan dough cooked just right calls it the best they have had. The garlic dip, tiramisu and unique ice cream flavours come up as extras, and several note a menu that rotates with new specials. Staff are described as friendly and attentive. The main caveat is the wait in a small, packed room, with some queuing outside. One visit went badly: a soggy base, runny sauce and sausage with an odd flavour, while the oven sat mostly empty as the queue grew. Another reviewer did not care for the burrata, which came with a yogurt sauce and peach, though their wife loved it, and one called the Diet Coke disgusting. Even so, staff stop by to update diners waiting in the queue.

“This place is gorgeous. The pizza is the best in Newcastle. Such attention to detail. I get take away a lot and I take my boys in for food on occasion too. It's super chilled, slow and relaxed. There drinks are amazing and you have to try the tiramisu.”

“Had heard a lot about this place so managed to sneak in on a table outside and it was really nice! The pizzas are delicious and the staff are great. The outside table in the sun is glorious. The only thing that would make it better and nudge to five stars is the non alcoholic beverages aren’t good - the “Diet Coke” tasted disgusting. But apart from that it was fab!”

“The best pizza spot. Worth the 30/40 min wait outside every time. The garlic dip is also incredible don’t skip! The fennel sausage, Margherita, and sopresata are top tier.”
