About SOHO ROOMS | Newcastle

SOHO ROOMS | Newcastle is a night club at 25-27 Mosley St in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with several floors that each play to a different music taste. Themed evenings change what the club offers, and the music centres on 2010s commercial party tracks. A bar serves beers and cocktails, so drinks are covered without leaving the club. Door staff check guests at the entrance, and a queue forms there. An entry fee is charged, and tickets can be pre-booked by messaging the club on Instagram. Guests who step outside can come back in. The club gets busy late in the night.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often point to the late-night party atmosphere, which fills all three floors after midnight, with a few describing the venue as still quiet at 11pm. Music is described as 2010s commercial party tracks, with different floors catering to different tastes, and colored lights flash across the upstairs. A younger crowd, cheap entry and drink deals come up in praise, though one reviewer calls the drinks themselves not cheap. A shot girl earns credit for great energy, and one group pre-booked through Instagram for a stag night. The door staff draw the sharpest criticism. Three reviewers describe aggressive bouncers: one was shouted at over a beer bottle outside, another says a doorman was violent toward a customer, and a third reports violence over someone filming. One reviewer says a bartender missed the cup, spilled a vodka shot on the table and still expected payment. The bathroom stairs are called steep and slippery with spilled drinks, with a rail on only one side. Another reviewer found staff relaxed about letting them step out and back in promptly.

“I would highly recommend this place! Mostly because of the shot girl Lucy, she was so lovely and had great energy and made my night 100 times better. I will definitely be visiting again.”

“I saw that your door staff hit a customer. Absolutely livid and disgusted by the conduct. Especially when it came to addressing accessibility issues. I believe a case is being brought forward of assault which I would highly encourage. The doorman in question is absolutely breaking code and is unfit for work... also unfit for work around vunerable people and danger to the public by showing inability to be able to restrain themselves. A violent man. Unfortunate the bar cannot guarantee the safety of its customers from its own staff. Therefore is not fit for purpose.”

“Violent thuggery behaviour from door staff simply because they don’t like someone’s lawful right to be videoing. I suggest it’s in the best interest of this organisation to make the public aware of what consequences this doorman has faced”

“Great vibes, great fun for a proper night out, good music however the stairs to the bathroom are SO scary ive seen so many slip bc of spilled drinks and theyre very steep, dont have rails on both sides, but overall amazing club”

“Randomly picked this place for night out while visiting the city. We arrived about 11pm which was early because the place was still kinda empty and dead. We've had a drink and stayed for a bit but left to different club to wait until more people come in. We came back at 1:30am and it was full like to the brim, all 3 floors. After all very decent club. Entry is 7£ per person I think.”
