About Sanskruti Restaurant
Sanskruti Restaurant is a vegetarian Indian restaurant in Manchester, at 93-95 Mauldeth Rd, and it opened as the city's first vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant. The menu is fully vegetarian with vegan options, and a separate Jain menu gives guests who follow Jain dietary practice a full set of dishes to choose from. Vegetable seek kebabs sit among the starters, and the kitchen also turns out paneer dishes. A breakfast buffet comes with chai, and a brunch spread includes khaman dhokla alongside other Indian snacks and sweets. Szechuan chips are served as a side.

Customer Review Summary
Vegetable seek kebabs draw the most repeat praise, with reviewers also singling out the paneer dishes, jackfruit curry, Szechuan chips, chocolate brownie and mocktails. A Sunday brunch spread of jalebis, khaman dhokla and phaphda impressed one large group, and another reviewer likes the breakfast buffet with chai. Diners describe the staff as friendly and attentive, and several credit one server for warm, prompt service. Others mention a small birthday cake and a booking honoured despite a very late arrival. The complaints are about consistency. One long-time regular says the food has turned sugary or citric, with a dal makhani that tastes burnt and bitter, and that younger waiters overlook missing items like water and spoons. Another found the tofu makhanwalla inedible, likening it to sugary tomato soup. Even so, that reviewer still rated the rest of the meal highly and finished with the brownie.

“Went with 14 friends for Sunday brunch, and it was a great experience all around. The spread was amazing: fresh jalebis that were crispy and syrupy, khaman dhokla, and phaphda, all spot on. Everything tasted like it was made with care, which you really notice when you're feeding a big group. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was attentive without hovering. Everyone had a great time. Will definitely be back, probably with an even bigger group!”
