About Abaseen
Abaseen serves Afghan food on Stockport Rd in Manchester, with Chapli Kabab and karahi curry forming the core of the menu. The Namak Mandi Lamb Karahi is served as a 1kg portion, large enough to share or take away. Other choices include Malai Boti and Achari Chicken Karahi, alongside Regular Chicken Karahi and Lamb Karahi for those who prefer a smaller size. Large naan and fresh roti accompany the curries, with Kali Palao offered as a rice option and sweet lassi available to drink. High chairs are on hand for families with young children. The restaurant opens daily, and reservations are recommended ahead of a visit. The karahi dishes are prepared with a blend of spices, and the Namak Mandi Lamb Karahi's full kilogram serving stands out among the other portion sizes on offer.

What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention chapli kebab, lamb karahi, malai boti/kebab and naan.
Customer Review Summary
Chapli kebab draws the most consistent praise, described repeatedly as juicy and perfectly spiced, with the lamb karahi and namak mandi lamb karahi close behind for being rich and tender, and dishes like Malai Boti, Kali Palao, and freshly made naan also singled out. Several note generous portions, fair prices, and warm service, with one reviewer crediting a specific new staff member for a marked improvement in customer care. Complaints recur around inconsistency, though: one diner found their namak mandi karahi overly salty and felt dismissed when they raised it, another called a chapli kebab and malai boti poorly prepared and lacking authentic flavor, and one reviewer reports finding hair in their food along with a wrong order and describes the response as rude. Positive visits often mention returning multiple times and finding the food fresh each time.

“Very disappointing experience. The chapli kebab was poorly prepared and lacked authentic flavour. The malai boti tasted more like kalaji tikka from a roadside barbecue than proper malai boti. The food quality was far below the standard I expected”

“Do u have sum shame? I found hair in my food and the order was not same which i did. Look at your arrogance rude behaviour and thats what u r feeding to customers. Worst ever food. Dirty . I wish i ve 0 star here. Disgusting!!”

“Absolutely delicious food here. From a warm welcome to lovely service this place was a true find for us. We ordered the chapli kebab with naan, the malai kebab and the lamb chops - each course had a delightful taste with various spices. The salad was very fresh and the yoghurt sauce was too. The naans are enormous but light and fluffy. I will definitely be going here again though my wallet won’t be happy but at least I will be!!!”

“I have been coming to Abaseen Restaurant for around one year. In the past, the customer service was not very good. However, today I visited again and noticed a big improvement. A new staff member, Ammar Butt, provided excellent customer service. He was very polite, attentive, and made the experience much better. Really appreciated his attitude keep it up”

“This restaurant offers a rich and memorable dining experience, full of bold flavors, aromatic spices, and warm hospitality. From the moment you walk in, the inviting atmosphere—often filled with the scent of freshly cooked curries and grilled meats—sets the tone for a satisfying meal. The menu features a wide variety of traditional dishes, from tender biryanis and flavorful karahis to perfectly spiced kebabs and freshly baked naan. Each dish strikes a beautiful balance of spices, delivering flavors that are both complex and comforting. Vegetarian options like daal and paneer dishes are just as thoughtfully prepared, ensuring there’s something for everyone.”
