“We came from London to Manchester and had a great experience at Kabul Karahi & Grill! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Behan Sabah was serving us and she was so kind, friendly and welcoming. She made sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. Her lovely service made our visit even better. Would definitely come again!”

“It’s a small place and they were extremely busy, they made it their top priority to serve people as quick as possible which was great. The food was very good and the portions fantastic. Would recommend people to try the place out. Only slight criticism would be because the place is so small - we left smelling like charcoal (I think their fan wasn’t working either) so it became so hot and our clothes just had such a strong grill/ charcoal smell which isn’t pleasant to walk around.”

“We had a fantastic experience and the food was absolutely delicious. The chef is incredibly talented and the entire team was warm, welcoming, and attentive. A special mention to Saba, exceptionally kind, professional, attentive, energetic, and provided outstanding service throughout our visits. ⭐️ A must-visit restaurant in Manchester! - Charsi Karahi – 10/10 - Kabli Pulao – 10/10 - Chapli Kebab – 10/10 - Chicken Seekh Kebab – 10/10 - Chicken Tikka – 10/10 - Lamb Seekh Kebab – 9/10 We stayed in Manchester for seven nights and ended up dining at Kabul on three of those nights that says it all! Every dish was packed with authentic flavour and cooked to perfection. This is easily one of the best places for Pakistani cuisine in Manchester. Highly, highly recommended, an absolute must-visit!”

“UPDATE Upon our second visit, we found more than a few issues. Chicken Karahi was slightly stinky (no idea why, but seemed not fresh); however, they replaced the chicken karahi with the lamb one. Just outstanding!! The quality of the food, as well as the service, was spot on. The best Chapli kebab one could ever find in this area. And the lamb Karahi?? OMG, just great. I wouldn't be wrong naming them the legends of Afghani cuisine. The lady Salma assured the best of service. Will definitely revisit.”

“We had the grill platter for 2, chapli kebab and lamb karahi. The platter was great especially the lamb chops, which were very tender. The kabuli pilao, that came with the platter, was very delicious and authentic. The chapli kebabs were average but tasty. The karahi tasted a bit sweet, probably due to the tomatoes. We requested spicy karahi but the chillis lacked spice level hence 4 stars for the food. The servuce was excellent, our waitress Saba was very attentive and helpful. Overall its 4.5/5 stars.”

Customer Review Summary

Diners return most for the lamb karahi, praised as seasoned and fresh, with one reviewer saying it transported them to the streets of Peshawar. Close behind are the Kabuli pulao and the chapli kebab, described as crispy outside and lush inside, while the grill platter's lamb chops are called very tender. Several credit the staff as welcoming, friendly and attentive, and one praises the tea. The recurring complaint is the small, congested room: the BBQ counter sits close to the seating, so it gets smoky and hot, and one pair left smelling of charcoal, believing the fan wasn't working. Some note a wait at busy times and a few higher-priced dishes. On the food, one reviewer found the karahi sweet and not as spicy as requested, another wanted more spice, and one said a chicken karahi seemed not fresh. The kitchen replaced it with a lamb karahi, which that reviewer called outstanding.
