Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the curries and tandoori dishes, with the lamb rogan josh named repeatedly for plenty of meat and being cooked to perfection, and one calling it excellent as part of a banquet deal. Close behind are the chicken tikka, a tandoori platter described as perfectly cooked, the chicken korma, the chicken napali, and a garlic and coriander naan called exceptional. Regulars describe fresh, flavourful food, quick delivery and takeaway, and prices they find reasonable, and several call the staff lovely, polite and helpful. The main complaint is service and atmosphere on some visits. One diner reports waiting nearly an hour for food when the room was not busy, suspecting delivery orders took priority, and found the open room too loud. Another arriving late felt the staff were rushed and found the lamb in the mixed tandoori a bit fatty, with no salad or sauce served with the starter. One Bangladeshi diner found the kacchi biryani unlike the traditional dish, served as biryani rice over a lamb shank topped with a fried egg, though they praised the attentive staff.

“A meal out with the other half. The Rogan Josh was excellent, it was a part of a banquet meal deal, definately great value. The service was very good even though our waiter was learning his trade. A really enjoyable event will eat there again .”

“I’ve ordered deliver of set meal 2 option B and it was amazing. Well worth the money and the food is enjoyable. Best chicken korma curry I’ve had so far in Manchester ! Would definitely order again 🤤”

“We ordered the Kacchi Biryani, and unfortunately it was nothing like what we, as Bangladeshis, know and expect Kacchi to be. Instead of the traditional slow-cooked rice and meat together, it was essentially biryani rice served over a lamb shank. I’ve also never seen a fried egg served on top of Kacchi Biryani—it felt very unusual and not authentic. That said, the staff were friendly, attentive, and took good care of us throughout our visit, which we really appreciated. We were quite hungry, so we finished our meal despite not enjoying it as much as we had hoped. If you’re looking for authentic Bangladeshi-style Kacchi Biryani, this may not meet your expectations. However, the service was warm and welcoming.”

“Decided to give this one a go as I'd not been but my brother said it was good. It was good, in fact it was very hard to fault. Great starters, Tandoori platter was perfectly cooked. The Chicken Napali was wonderful and the Garlic and Coriander Naan was exceptional. Credit where it's due...... See you again”

“I went late on and they fitted me in. Staff were nice but a bit quiet and all a bit rushed due to time (1015pm I arrived on a Thursday). The food was nice and service quick but a bit rushed. Mixed tandoori was decent but lamb a bit fatty. No salad or sauce with starter. Main was good. Nice spicy curry with decent chicken tikka and rice was ok. Chips typical. All round good but not amazing. I would try again a bit earlier on.”
