About The Wok King Wythenshawe
On Royal Oak Rd in Manchester, The Wok King Wythenshawe is a Chinese takeaway at number 132. The Malaysian vermicelli arrives with the satay sauce served separately, so the sauce goes on the noodles when you choose. Alongside it, the menu includes crispy beef and a Special Curry, and the range also covers curry sauce, so the dishes suit people who want a familiar takeaway order as well as something less usual. Orders are collected from the shop or placed through Just Eat.

Customer Review Summary
Curry sauce draws the most mentions, praised by one regular as full of flavour and by another for a generous Special Curry, though one diner found it so layered in grease and salt that the meal was inedible. Close behind are the chips, called the best from a takeaway in about 20 years, and the salt and pepper dishes. Others single out crispy beef, Malaysian vermicelli with separate satay sauce, and spring rolls, and several call the staff friendly or polite. Complaints centre on quality and service. Reviewers describe stale, reheated food, rubbery chicken and broken prawn crackers, and two say a refund or replacement was refused, one reporting the phone slammed down. One collection order was cancelled minutes before pickup, with the shop found shut. A vegetarian diner received a spring roll with beef and chicken and fish powder on the seaweed, and was offered only a free spring roll and seaweed on the next order.

“Placed an order tonight on a Thursday at 7pm, says it was open, they took my order on just eat for collection, said it would take 20 minutes, 15 minutes later when I’m already on the way to collect it they cancel my order & when I show up it’s fully shut??? Don’t be available on food delivery apps if you’re going to cancel in the last minute 5 minutes before collection time.”
