Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the chow mein, with chicken, beef, lamb and prawn versions all named, and close behind come the special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, hot and spicy wings and spring rolls. Several praise the low prices and friendly staff, and one says the food arrives hot, not oily or greasy, with sauces that don't thicken after cooling. One regular of many years says the extra spicy request was met, and another describes a homey feel with an old 1990s TV playing. A recurring complaint concerns declining portions and pricing. Two longtime customers say lamb and prawn chow mein now contain noticeably less meat, while old menus have prices crossed out with a notice blaming inflation. Another reports the chicken in the chow mein is now dry, the chicken curry tastes mostly of mushroom, and the chicken wings have become tiny. One reviewer says prices aren't displayed and distrusts the shop for it. The most detailed praise closes on a plate of special fried rice, savoury lamb curry, prawn toasts, spring rolls and hot and spicy wings.

“Easily the best Chinese in Luton. They're consistent, always have good service, and most importantly their food is GOOD. Even the atmosphere inside is nice, with a homey, nostalgic feel, highlighted by the 1990s TV they always have on. My favourite thing though is their prices. The value for money you're getting is unbeatable. Inflation has ruined most restaurant's pricing, but these guys seem to have kept it as low as possible. Newer places like Karwoo have opened up and compared to this their pricing is a joke - it's literally almost double for the exact same food. Things I recommend (and often get) are; any of the chow meins, sweet & sour chicken balls, hot & spicy wings, spring rolls, special fried rice, egg fried rice, savoury lamb curry, or chicken cashew with nuts. In the picture is special fried rice, savoury lamb, prawn toasts, spring rolls, and hot spicy wings.”
