“Food was good, service was excellent but we were shocked when we received the bill. The food was not itemised on the bill and when questioned the staff she said the prices are on the menu so I took one home to check later. They also charged a hefty service charge. My dad had ordered something that they had recommended and that we could not find on the menu and it worked out to be the most expensive dish. Also noticing what’s stated on their menu, it states that they accept all major credit cards but when paying she told me I could not pay by AMEX. Then also they charge £1 for under £20 which is not legal under UK law. Since January 2018, UK businesses have been banned from charging extra fees for card payments (debit or credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Amex). This applies to all transactions, including small amounts under £20. Overall, since pricing is not clear and it was more expensive than expected for 5 adults at £165.20 we won’t be returning.”
