  “Last time had Country fried chicken many years ago in Cookstown. And remembered frozen but lovely chips,really tasty goujons and the best garlic mayo. Went to get same today in Derry. Unfortunately nothing from that list is still available. So got chicken burger and chips. Chips are ok,but very chunky and extremely pricy. But chicken completely tasteless and dry!!! Cheese should be on top of the chicken to be able to melt but was on top,over tomato. So got cold slice of "cheese". For that taste and price-please avoid.”

  “I was very disappointed with my meal I got on Saturday 19th April, around 6pm. I ordered a chicken breast, one piece, and one bag of chips. The chicken was not great, a bit dry, but the chips were horrible. They tasted like they had been reheated more than once. Very dry and tasteless. I threw them away. Can you explain ?”

  “Ordered 2x chicken fillet burger with coleslaw, and 2x large super chip and milkshakes. £26.20, and not a lot to show for it. Chicken burger was quite small for £5.15, it should have been flattened out a bit, was way too thick to have inside a bap, the coleslaw had nothing to sit on top of and just fell out the sides of the bap when you took a bite. Found the coating to be a bit soggy and very little seasoning or flavour in general from it. The chicken was also a bit dry in the inside. There was nothing super whatsoever about the 'super chip', I was expecting to have some chicken or at least some cheese in it, but it was just a gravy chip. The chips were very average, the gravy was completely devoid of any flavour, by far the most bland gravy I've had in my life. The only thing I'd go back here for is their milkshakes, in my opinion they're the best in Derry, especially the chocolate one. Very disappointed, probably won't eat here again, but if I'm driving past I'd stop for a milkshake without hesitation”

  “Where to start, the half cooked sloppy chicken tasted like it had been cooked with car exhaust fumes, the 'nothing super about them' chips seemed like they had been reheated from the day before. Of the several burgers I purchased, 4 were adequate the other 3 were stone cold Steve Austin. I will never waste my money here again.”

  “Recently the chicken fillet and even the gravy taste and appear different, it no longer tastes like the original recipe. Also I asked for a separate gravy and was given curry sauce, my husbands burger was dry and inedible and this has happened a few times now. Country fried used to be one of my favourites, sadly won’t be wasting anymore money here, prices have went up though quality has went way down in my opinion.”

  “Great place for a quick bite to eat . That doesn't mean the food is in anyway comprised. We as a family have been going here for years . The staff are great and have worked there for a long time. Only problem is it can get really busy during peak times due to the food been so good .”

  “Country fried chicken 🍗 has been on the go for approximately 33 odd years. Its staff are friendly and their food is a favourite in my household for as long as I remember. Chicken is cooked to perfection and never disappoints their curry chips are the nice side of hot but if your not feeling adventurous stick with their gravy chip and chicken fillet with or without coleslaw.”

  “Got a chicken fillet burger with everything on it and chips with curry sauce. It was really good. The coleslaw on the burger was creamy and equally delicious. Best curry chips I have ever had. !!! Was not easy to get a copy of the menu beforehand so here you go. We'll worth the trip!!”
