Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the authentic Thai cooking, led by the soft-shell crab mango salad, described as tangy, savoury and lightly sweet, with fresh, well-battered crab. Close behind are the curries and noodles, including lamb massaman curry, pineapple curry with prawn, wok fried noodles with beef and Pad Thai with king prawn. The Southern crispy chicken wings and vegetable spring rolls also draw praise, as do the Patara passion cocktail and a Cha Yen Thai iced tea with a strong tea taste. Many describe the staff as friendly and kind, and one reviewer felt the family-run warmth of the owner. The criticism is sharper but less common. One reviewer found the flavours lacking and the food short of authentic, called it a tourist trap, and noted the curries arrived without rice, which was charged separately. Another called the standard menu overpriced and said the discretionary service charge was applied by default at payment. One party without a reservation on a Saturday evening was still seated.

“I found this little gem by chance on Google Maps after spending half the day at Harrods, and I'm so glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as exceptional. I'm also sharing a photo with the owner, who was incredibly kind—you can immediately feel that this is a family-run restaurant, not just another business. That warmth really adds to the experience. Everything I tried was excellent. Maybe I was extra hungry, but I honestly enjoyed every bite! I'm not an expert on Thai cuisine, but if this is what authentic Thai food tastes like, then consider me a big fan. And coming from a Greek, that's meant as a genuine compliment! Highly recommended.”

“OVERVIEW The crab mango salad was excellent — so much so that I returned for dinner after having it for lunch! PLUS + The ‘Soft-Shell Crab Mango Salad’ was outstanding. The balance of tangy and savoury flavours was spot on, complemented by a subtle touch of sweetness. + Although modest in size, the soft-shell crab tasted fresh and was perfectly battered. Not a piece went to waste! + The ‘Vegetable Spring Rolls’ were noticeably above average. The filling was flavourful, and the pastry was light and crispy rather than doughy. + Exceptional service from Wee, who delivered cheerful, attentive service and made returning customers feel valued through thoughtful, personalised touches. NEUTRAL +/- The standard menu was overpriced. In contrast, the premium lunch menu offered a limited choice of mains, but at £19.95 for two courses, it provided excellent value in central London. MINUS - The ‘12.5% discretionary service charge’ was presented as optional but applied by default when paying. - The restaurant could provide a QR code self-payment option at each table for quicker, hassle-free service. TABLE ORDER: Starters: * Vegetable Spring Rolls Thai Salads: * Soft-Shell Crab Mango Salad”

“Very good! I just randomly chose a restaurant nearby the V&A museum and I ended up having the best Thai food in UK! The staff is also very friendly and nice. I really enjoyed my time and food there❤️”

“Just giving a warning that these thousands of reviews accumulating to a 4.9 star has to be fake. We were mislead here by the high Google reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. The taste and flavors was lacking and there was an absence of Thai authenticity. If the food was actually good it would have justified the pricing but the curries did not come with rice, a bowl of rice was an additional 5 pounds. Felt like a total tourist trap and we got fleeced for mediocre food at best.”
