About Sandwich Sandwich

Sandwich Sandwich is a family-run sandwich shop at 70 Mark Ln in London, serving customers since 2010. The menu offers a wide selection of sandwiches, built oversized and filled to the brim. Among them is a hot chicken sandwich, and a Scotch egg and brownies round out the menu. Orders go through self-service screens, with a till also available. Staff call out each name when the food is ready. The large space has plenty of seats and room to wait, which helps because lunch is busy and people stand around for their orders.

“Truly magnificent experience, one of the hidden gems for us, big portions, a lot of choices, amazing sandwiches and those brownies are really the best. Blonde server (forgot the name) was amazing, friendly and very helpful.”

“Very big location. was quite empty when visiting during the weekend but I can imagine it gets busy when offices are open. They've got AC and lots of seats, outside too. Great and helpful service. They are knows for filled to the brim massive sandwiches and that's exactly right, it is full lunch for reasonable price. It's not the greatest sandwich ever but it's decent, you can choose from many options and they even do sweet treats now. Edit: Visited again for birria free sandwich event, very messy but also tasty sandwich, filled with beef and other ingredients.”

“Lilly was super helpful showing me all the different variety of sandwiches available. Lilly also took my order at the till instead of making me order it on the self service. Hot crispy chicken is the one to go for.”

“We had an amazing lunch here, sandwiches are perfect and huge. Definitely worth the money. The cheesecake is also amazing. Staff are friendly and fast.”

“Was rather disappointed with this burger, the baps clearly came out of the fridge which ultimately cooled the burger. It was ok but not worth paying over 12 pounds. The place itself is quite big with lots of self service kiosk but the whole vibe is very industrial and therefore a sterile feel to it, I was expecting a hip colourful place to eat but that wasnt the case, furthermore to compound the issue, it was packed with people just standing around waiting for their food. Mine took nearly 15 minutes. I might try it again and order something else but Im in no rush to do so”

Customer Review Summary

Huge, filled-to-the-brim sandwiches are what reviewers return to, with several saying one could easily be shared and that a single sandwich keeps them full for the day. Hot crispy chicken and southern fried chicken come up most, with the coronation chicken, club sandwich, egg sandwich and a messy but tasty birria sandwich close behind. A scotch egg earns praise on the side, and the brownies and cheesecake are also singled out. Many call the portions good value, and the self-service screens, plentiful seating and friendly staff get a nod. The complaints concern temperature and pace. One reviewer found the burger bap cold from the fridge, which cooled the patty, and another said the burger bun should have been toasted. A couple mention a packed room of people standing around waiting for food, slow service, and an industrial, sterile feel. One diner who ordered an egg sandwich and a hot chicken sandwich plans to share a single sandwich next time.
