Customer Review Summary
Focaccia is the bread reviewers return to most, especially olive focaccia, filled with avocado, tuna and melted cheddar in one account and with brie, chicken escalope, tomato and egg mayo in another. The number 9 melt comes close behind, singled out by two reviewers as their favourite, and others mention a goat cheese sandwich. Diners praise the long choice of breads, the huge portions and the friendly staff. The lunchtime queue comes up repeatedly. Most say it moves quickly because service is efficient, and one reports no queue at all after 2:30. Reviews are not uniformly positive. One reviewer received a toasted sandwich so burnt they compared it to coal and describes standards as dropping. Another found a turkey sandwich and a pastrami melt less filling on a return visit, noting it depends on who is serving. One reviewer suggests checking opening days and hours before visiting. Another describes a tuna sweetcorn sandwich packed with a mountain of tuna.

“Absolutely love this place. Delicious sandwiches and a friendly but efficient service. There is often a big queue a lunchtime but worth the wait and I go at times to beat the rush. The focaccia bread is delicious and the set sandwiches are great. Number 9 for me every time.”

“Dilieto is easily one of the best sandwich places I have tried in London. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, fresh, generous and full of flavour. After trying it, I completely understood why there is always a queue around lunchtime. It is definitely not one of those places where people wait for no reason, the food really is worth it. Even though the queue can look quite long at first, it moves faster than expected. They seem to serve customers from the line in a few different ways, so in my experience you usually get your turn within around 10–15 minutes. Considering the quality of the food, that wait is more than reasonable. One thing I really liked is that you can choose your bread, which makes the sandwich feel more personal and exactly to your taste. The ingredients tasted fresh and well balanced, and the whole sandwich felt carefully prepared rather than rushed. If you like goat cheese, I would definitely recommend trying it here. As someone who really enjoys goat cheese, I thought it worked beautifully in the sandwich and added a lovely rich flavour. The only thing I would suggest is to check their opening days and hours before visiting, as they are not open all the time. Overall, Dilieto is a fantastic spot for sandwiches in London, and I would highly recommend it.”
