About Bánh Mì Hội-An - Vietnamese Street Food in London
On Graham Rd in London, Bánh Mì Hội-An is a sandwich shop that focuses on Vietnamese street food, with banh mi as the main item. The Hoi An special pairs roast meat with fried egg, and the spicy roast duck banh mi gives a second filling to choose from. Each sandwich comes on a baguette that is crisp outside and soft inside, filled with pickled vegetables and a sauce. A pho menu runs alongside the sandwiches, with chicken and vegetarian noodle soups among the options. The space inside is small with limited seating. Vietnamese coffee is also served.

Customer Review Summary
Banh mi is the draw, and the pork classic is the version named most often, described as juicy and fresh. Reviewers praise the bread as crispy outside and soft inside, a proper bun rather than a pre-frozen baguette, with pickled vegetables and sauce that tie the filling together. The Hoi An special with roast meat and fried egg and the spicy roast duck, packed with meat, also earn praise. Close behind are the Vietnamese coffee, called incredible, and the pho, including chicken noodle and tofu versions, noted for big portions and good value. Staff are described as kind and friendly, with quick service even when busy. The caveats are practical. The space is very small with limited seating, and one reviewer says the shop closes early and many items sell out. One reviewer found the banh mi inauthentic, citing lettuce and a chilli sauce used in place of fresh chilli, and felt it was poor value. One group took their order to a park nearby, while another reviewer ate standing outside in the sun.

“Very good food and quality, I really enjoyed my ban mi with the broth, everything was cooked to perfection. Only thing I would recommend to the owners is to clean the outside doors and windows a bit more often, I know it's on a busy road but a dirty shop doesn't really make you want to go inside and order food.”

“I simply wanted to grab a bite and literally expected some kind of a sandwich, because I'd never tried it before. But I was sooo pleasantly surprised when I tasted it! It's crazy delicious! I'm definitely coming back. And the people who work there are really lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your culinary art!”

“This place is absolutely phenomenal! The space inside is very small, so we got takeout and ate it at London Fields park (just a couple of minutes walk from there). We got the Bánh Mì Pork Classic, the Pho chicken noodle soup and the vegetarian noodle soup - everything was incredibly good and tasty! The portions were very big too!! I would absolutely recommend for a real taste of vietnamese food⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Delicious banh mi! I got the hoi an special with a mixture of roast meat and fried egg. The baguette was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The roast meat was tender and the pickled veg added the perfect freshness. The sauce inside really tied it all together. Would definitely come again!”
