Customer Review Summary

Diners most often point to the curry, with one ordering butter chicken and laksa and another loving the curry. Others praise a meze platter built around baba ganoush, and filling corn fed chicken. Complaints include a pork chop only cooked well done and dry, weak value for a five star hotel, and a chilly dining area. One table received extra pita and the baba ganoush recipe.

“I’ve been coming to Sofitel Heathrow for years and always appreciate it when the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. Aga was a real breath of fresh air at breakfast — friendly, attentive and so accommodating each of the four mornings I …”

“Oh my gosh. Amazing food. Amazing people. The food is so filling, some portions look small but wow they certainly are filling and full of flavour!! I got the corn fed chicken and it’s much more than you expect in flavour and how filling it is!”

“Not terrible, but not outstanding either. We ordered the butter chicken and laksa, which seemed like the safer options after reading some of the reviews here. The food wasn’t bad, although I did notice a few scraps of scallion on my plate that weren’t supposed to be part of the dish. The 3 courses set meal came to £42.50, and most mains were at least £30 once VAT 20% and service charges 12.5% were added. For what you get, the pricing doesn’t offer great value for money. Overall it definitely doesn’t feel like a restaurant you’d expect to find in a five star hotel. Pros - it’s convenient and very close to Terminal 5.”

“My friend and I are overnighting at the Sofitel and decided to eat at the hotel for convenience but we're happy that we did. We shared the **outstanding** meze platter. We both loved the baba ganoush most. I preferred the beetroot tsatziki to the hummus. My friend preferred the smoked red pepper hummus to the tsatziki. The olives and falafel were yummy. They very courteously brought us extra pita bread and the recipe for the baba ganoush. My friend enjoyed the carbonara. I had the pork chop but they wouldn't cook it medium only well done and I found it overcooked and dry. Our waiter was delightful (I am remis in not asking her name) and Darius, who served our food, was fun.”

“Service was good, and we loved the curry! The only drawback was the low air con setting. Similar to our hotel room, the dining area felt much too chilly for our liking.”
