Customer Review Summary
Salt beef is the clear draw, with reviewers calling it tender and describing the huge Reubens salt beef sandwich as the one to order. Close behind are the clear chicken soup, called truly exceptional by one reviewer, and the pastrami sandwiches. Others name the shawarma plate, chopped liver with crackers, potato latkes, apple strudel, and fries made from real potatoes. Diners describe the food as fresh, flavourful, and clean, with big courses. Staff come up repeatedly as kind, attentive, and helpful, and one reviewer says the sandwich chef let them taste the meats before ordering. The main criticism is that one reviewer found the salt beef sandwich good but not great and the latkes bland, with the potato too blended. Another notes that the dinner host ordered dishes bit by bit, so the table was full before the mains arrived. One diner describes the executive chef coming over mid-meal to ask how everything was and to chat about the dishes.
