About Heavenly Desserts Marylebone

Heavenly Desserts Marylebone is a dessert restaurant in London, at 138 Marylebone Rd, where diners build their own desserts by choosing toppings and sauces. Orders go through a tablet at the table, which puts those choices directly in the diner's hands. The menu runs to 126 dishes. American waffles and Biscoff croffles sit alongside savoury plates such as the Hot Pastrami & Swiss Cheese Bagel, and sourdough toast dishes are also on offer. The downstairs seating area has booth seating. The restaurant stays open late into the evening, which suits a late-night dessert.

Customer Review Summary

Waffles lead the praise, from the biscoff American waffle and the biscoff croffles, described as crispy outside and fluffy inside, to the waffles one diner received fresh after sending a dish back. Close behind are the chocolate brownie bomb, sticky toffee, chocolate crunch cake, and Dubai chocolate pancake crepes with rose ice cream, with several calling the desserts beautifully presented and delicious. Reviewers also describe friendly, welcoming staff, a clean room, and a decor and atmosphere they liked. Pricing draws the most complaints. Two reviewers describe hidden charges: tablet orders that added a service fee and a concession fee each time, and a latte and the American waffles billed above the menu listing. Others report slow food, a request for a booth refused, and one staff member being rude to a colleague. The tiramisu French toast was called stale, with a cold sauce, and the diner who ordered it sent it back and was served the waffles instead.

“The decor of this place is really nice. We walked in and liked the atmosphere so chose to have dessert here. We had asked if we could sit on a table for four as it was a booth, even though we were just two people. At that time the downstairs seating area was practically empty with only 4 other people. But we got told that we can’t. It was disappointing to see they later allowed another couple to sit in the booth as just two people. We ordered via the tablet. The tiramisu French toast was very disappointing. Stale bread that tasted more like cake than bread. The entire sauce was cold and we had a feeling it had been sat out there for awhile before it arrived to us. 25 mins passed and we still hadn’t received our food until we asked. We sent it back and then we ordered the waffles. They were nice and fresh. The chocolate crunch cake was amazing. The apple and goji berry drink was really nice. What I disliked about the ordering service was that every time you ordered via their tablet, you were charged a service fee and a concession fee. So if you wanted to add on drinks later, you would be charged. I’d rather just have one bill at the end. That set up is unnecessary and takes away from an actual table service and interaction with staff. I can see someone else has commented on the deceiving hidden charges. Very off putting. The two girls who served us were really nice despite us not liking the French toast. They were super polite and helpful. One of the male staff was pretty unnecessarily rude to his female colleague and it’s disgraceful to see that in front of customers to be honest. My friend said the Stratford branch is way better so I think I’ll try that venue next time. Overall, this branch was ok. Nothing amazing.”

“A god send for late night desserts! We came here after going to the Regent’s Park theatre. We had the biscoff American waffle, chocolate brownie bomb and sticky toffee. All delicious. Far too much for two people! It was 11pm, so we had to take away.”

“Leiann was friendly and greeted us at the door, she took us to our table and served us our food all with a smile , perfectly timing when to ask if the food is good. The food was really delicious and the price was reasonable for London . Will definitely be coming back !”

“Nice place, food was decent, price reasonable, service was friendly enough, but some of the waitresses are a little too nosey lol, had one waitress literally following our phone screens and listening to every convo haha. I know it wasn’t malicious and she was probably bored, but could have been a little more discreet and professional about it lol Food came a bit slow. Usually better to come similar time, so we could enjoy together as a family, some of us got our food as the others were almost finished, But overall everyone was very polite and was a nice enough place, wouldn’t mind going again”
