Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently single out the margherita, especially the double mozzarella version, as the pizza to get, with several calling it the best Neapolitan pizza they've had in London or even outside Naples. The soft thin dough, tomato base and fresh mozzarella draw repeated praise, and a few mention the pizza roll and the marinara as worthwhile alternatives, though multiple reviewers note the menu is limited to essentially just two pizza styles with add-on options. Service is mostly described as warm and welcoming, but it's inconsistent: one diner reports a pizza arriving cold and hard after the first slice with a server on her phone throughout, and another describes being charged extra just to swap ricotta for mushroom, souring years of loyalty. A couple of reviewers also flag added costs, like a service charge some felt was too high and a chilli oil drizzle priced at £2.50. Despite these complaints, longtime regulars describe returning for years and always ordering the same margherita with double mozzarella.

“After years of loving pizza here, we’re probably not going to come again after some of the worst and commercially self defeating service I’ve experienced. Asking to swap ricotta for mushroom on a pizza should not receive an extra charge. And whatever the marginal cost between the half scoop of ricotta that you might use vs the 4 slices of mushroom is not quite the same as the income you’d receive from a family of five eating every week. It’s a shame but we’re not inclined to return. Plenty of other places with more agreeable and logical service.”

“I’ve been going to Vicoli di Napoli for years, ever since it was called L’Antica, and it’s genuinely my absolute favourite. I always get a margherita with double mozzarella and it’s the perfect Neapolitan pizza – never disappoints. …”

“I visited Vicoli di Napoli Pizzeria in the summer and had a very pleasant experience, even though I’m only writing the review now. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a great authentic Italian taste. The service was very good. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive, which made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. We chose to sit outside, and I really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the outdoor seating area. It felt relaxed and pleasant, perfect for enjoying a meal. The tables were a little dusty, but it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience.”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
