About London Naru

London Naru is a Korean restaurant on Stockwell St in London, where dogs are allowed inside so diners can bring a pet along to the table. All of the seating is upstairs, reached by a narrow staircase from the ground floor. The menu covers Korean dishes including kimchi pancake, japchae and dotsol bibimbap. Downstairs, the ground floor holds the kitchen and the bathroom, so the dining room has the upper level to itself.

Customer Review Summary

Kimchi pancake is the dish reviewers raise most, described as crispy on the outside and succulent inside, with one calling it the best they have had. Close behind are the bibimbap, japchae and sushi, which one reviewer credits for its fish-to-rice ratio, and others also mention the spicy pork gimbap, seafood bukkambap and aubergine stir-fry. Service draws steady praise: staff are called kind and polite, a waiter gave recommendations, and birthday diners were wished a happy birthday and given extra food on the house, including tempura. Plates are described as arriving about fifteen minutes after ordering. The main criticism is mixed on the dog policy. One reviewer was seated beside a dog that kept jumping and worried about their food being knocked over, while another praised the pet-friendly welcome and treats for their dog. The same critical reviewer found the sundubu-jjigae nicely spicy but the prawns overcooked, and rated the food average. A reviewer with a baby notes the staircase to the upstairs seating is narrow, and one suggests booking because tables fill quickly.

“Very nice Korean food place. Food was fresh and pretty authentic. The kimchi pancake is probably the best I have had. Crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Very impressed. Also enjoyed the bibimbap and the aubergine stir-fry. Well worth coming too with some good quality food.”

“Amazing experience! It was boiling hot outside during the London heatwave, but the AC inside was perfectly cool. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally polite. They are extremely pet-friendly too and even gave our dog some treats. Will definitely be back!”

“Been here twice, very tasty and reasonably priced. Look at the ratio of fish and rice of the sushi and uramaki, that show you the skill of making proper sushi, great job, those supermarkets, chains and cheap takeaway will never have this quality. Definitely recommend and will come back again.”

“Me and my girlfriend went to celebrate her birthday on 18/6/2026 at 14:00. The moment we walked through the door we were greeted and my girlfriend got wished happy birthday to her. We went upstairs where our server Vincent, greeted us and sat us on our table. He made sure we are okay we the table and gave us extra time to decide what we want (as we requested). When taking our order we asked what would he recommend on this hot day and he came through with a lovely recommendation. The food was done and served swiftly with extra food on the house for my girlfriend's birthday. The food was delicious and Vincent was brilliant and very helpful, to us and to another Lady who was having difficulty ordering near us. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back again. :)”

“My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we felt so welcomed, and it made my day when the staff wished me a happy birthday 🥰✨ The food was absolutely phenomenal! My favourites were definitely the Spicy Pork Gimbap and Japchae—both were packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. A special thank you to our waiter, Vincent, who provided outstanding customer service and gave us some fantastic recommendations. I tried the Bibimbap on his suggestion, and it was absolutely delicious 🤤 + the tempura that was on the house (Thank you once again). Overall, the entire experience was a 10/10. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone local or anyone looking to try authentic Korean cuisine made with care and heart ❤️ I'll definitely be coming back! 📝✨”
