  “The atmosphere, vibes and staff are lit, along with the coffee. I am only writing this to be constructive I hope! We ordered a prosciutto and rocket focaccia. This unfortunately was disappointing - it looked great but the bread was not fresh (or atleast it was dry) and the prosciutto was so densely packed (way too much of it) that it congealed with the mozzarella making for a very unpleasant sandwich. Less is more, and fresher is better. Otherwise great place. Will be back!”

  “Our go-to coffee place in Brixton. The place is nice and the atmosphere is always up with lovely staff members. They do very good pastries and always have a vegan option! Coffee is also very good. Outside area in summer very lovely if you manage to grab a seat!”

  “This place is a total gem. I really liked their batch brew: it was remarkably smooth, perfectly balanced with a gentle, low acidity and a wonderfully full-bodied flavor. If the tasting notes say 'strawberry,' you can bet the coffee actually tastes distinctly of strawberries. What truly sets this cafe apart, though, is the atmosphere. Even when the place is absolutely slammed, the staff maintains an incredibly warm and personal touch. They seem to know everyone by name and have an uncanny ability to remember your exact preferences; I was blown away when they even recalled a foreign friend's order from the day before. They are also exceptionally sweet with little kids, making families feel genuinely welcome rather than just 'tolerated.' As for the treats, the hot chocolate is rich and velvety, and the flat white is perfectly thick and creamy. And whatever you do, don't miss the cardamom bun—it is utterly divine and packed with flavor. It’s rare to find a spot that balances top-tier coffee with such heartfelt hospitality.”

  “I ordered a regular latte and a thick slice of chocolate banana bread with peanut butter on top, and honestly… wow. First, the coffee. They don’t do large sizes, so the latte was slightly stronger than usual, which worked perfectly. It was smooth, full of flavour, and served at just the right temperature. Easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. Now the banana bread… next level. Thick cut, moist, rich, and absolutely delicious. When I ordered, the lady asked if I wanted peanut butter on top. I didn’t even fully hear her, just said “yes” by instinct. Best decision ever. When I opened the box and saw that generous dollop of peanut butter, I knew I was in for a treat. And wow... the combination was unreal. As a big peanut butter fan, this hit the spot perfectly. Easily one of the best banana breads I’ve ever had. Great food, great coffee, polite and friendly staff, and a really good overall experience.”

  “Wow! If you're in the Brixton area and love good coffee and great food, you need to check this independent cafe out. Swift but friendly service, this place was bustling with activity when I arrived. Expect this local institution to be busy for a good reason - and it's dog friendly too which adds to the cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.”

  “I must say, stumbling upon this establishment was a stroke of absolute fortune. One rarely finds a batch brew executed with such finesse—it was remarkably flavorful and served at a temperature that can only be described as "perfection." The cardamom bun was a triumph of pastry engineering; light, fluffy, and quite frankly, a delight to the senses. However, the true soul of the place is the barista. A man sporting a truly magnificent beard and a temperament to match. He treats every patron with the warmth of an old friend. To my astonishment, he remembered our order from the previous day and, in a gesture of extraordinary generosity, insisted the next coffee will be on the house. A quintessential experience. I shall certainly be returning.”

  “For us the key reason to go Brixton was always the amazing Federation Coffee in Brixton Village. It was heartbreaking to see it go. Luckily, there is a great alternative in Brixton: Stir Coffee Brixton. It is a 15 minutes walk from the Brixton tube station - but so worth it! The coffee they offer is simply superb. We had flat whites - our regular choice - which were just perfect. The accompanying banana bread was the best banana bread we have ever had, so tasty! The atmosphere, and the interior of the cafe is so enjoyable and charming that you would not want to leave! So no wonder the coffee shop is extremely popular with continuous stream of people coming in. In our visit we did not get to meet Simon, but Michael behind the counter was awesome as well 😄 Stir Coffee Brixton is definitely now our new key reason to go to Brixton in our London trips!”

  “I stopped for a coffee before a photoshoting. Cool place, chilled vibes, lots of people with computer working inside means that is a relaxed enviroment. Good coffee., price according London standard. Good service. They also have a water station self service inside”
