  “Went here with my dad, our waiter was James. Very chatty, witty, and knowledgeable man. He was able to sort us a cocktail I've been after for ages but no bar has ever been able to accommodate, an Orange Whip. The bar itself is great, and the drinks were amazing too, but he really made it an experience.”

  “The cocktail which I ordered was approx. £25 and it was meant to be fresh, citrusy, zesty. Instead it tasted like an artificial apple juice. I ordered it because I like Calvados, which was meant to be in the mix but all I could taste was an 'apple ribena'. Add service charge on top and you get the size of disappointment... To rescue my Friday I went to nearby 5-stars hotel and had two excellent cocktail's, one for £15 and one for £18. In comparison: the overall price was similar, but the experience was much better outside of Savoy.”

  “Amazing cocktails, service and vibe - we enjoyed the Watermelon Bay, the 18 Again, the 5 o clock Somewhere, and the Moon Landing. Big thanks to Jacob for being a fantastic host, and we loved the live pianist. Will be back!”

  “Absolutely loved this place! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. The live piano performance was so good. If you are looking for a great bar with excellent service and live music this place is definitely worth a visit:)”

  “We had the most lovely time at The American Bar to celebrate my birthday. The staff were attentive and friendly. The cocktail list was extensive and each cocktail had a story and the bartenders were happy to make any cocktail of your choice. The setting is beautifully Art Deco and with so much history. We were only going to stay for one drink but stayed for so much longer… The atmosphere was so relaxing especially when Michael played the piano and sang. It made it the perfect birthday and I felt very special. 5 stars to the whole team at The American Bar & thank you!”

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was timeless and effortlessly elegant. The live piano music completely elevated the experience — Felix was phenomenal. His playing created the perfect ambiance and made the entire evening feel special and intimate. Service was just as exceptional. Jacob went above and beyond in every way — attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. It’s rare to encounter that level of hospitality, and it did not go unnoticed. Every detail — from the drinks to the service to the atmosphere — was flawless.   “Friends weekend in London. One of the party really wanted to revisit the American Bar. Three of the party were in town from New Jersey, USA.As there were 8 of us we were provided with a 'private' area in the bar which was very comfortable and made conversation and laughter easy.The waiting staff, George and James, were excellent and the drinks were all delicious.”
