Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cocktails and the theatrical setting, from the ball run down a tube at the entrance to the Mr Fogg story told through the drinks. The golden camel presentation gets a specific mention, and drinks are described as well balanced, delicious and well crafted, with five non-alcoholic options noted. The decor and lighting draw repeated praise, and staff at the door and the tables are described as welcoming and patient when explaining the menu. The sausage rolls are called just okay or fine by two reviewers, while another praises vegan snacks. Some find the experience a one-time visit, with cocktails that were fine but nothing special, and one dislikes drinks served on a camel statue. Prices are described as pricy but about what is expected for London. One party felt rushed, told to finish at their table after one drink, while a neighboring table was offered a different seat. A birthday guest received a personal missive from Mr Fogg.

“The whole experience of this place is exceptional, my friend and I just happened to find this place and we were so intrigued by the story of Mr Fogg! The drinks all tells a story and they have many other branches with different themes of his adventure and menus made based on their theme. We’ve learnt all of the above all from the loveliest lady at the front entrance, her name is Effie. Effie is so passionate about the place and had us so fascinated about the stories and theme. She also got us seated and chatted with us while we were waiting to be seated, we felt so welcomed. We are so grateful for her because this would’ve been a completely different experience, she is just exceptional. We’ve had the best time and definitely will be back to try out more drinks! 🩷”

“Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration is one of the best speakeasy-style bars in London, and it feels immersive from the moment you arrive. Right from the start, you are drawn into their world, and the atmosphere is clever, playful, and full of character. The whole experience feels much more like stepping into a story than simply walking into a bar, which is exactly what makes it so memorable. One of the highlights was the butler at the door, who was absolutely amazing and set the tone for the evening beautifully. The entrance itself is part of the fun, as you follow a ball through a tube to reach the underground bar, which adds to the sense of discovery and anticipation. Once inside, you are greeted by a smiling, welcoming waitress, and the service continues to feel warm and attentive throughout the visit. The drinks menu is very impressive, with plenty of options to choose from, including five non-alcoholic versions, which is a great touch. I tried two different drinks and both were delicious, well balanced, and thoughtfully made. The prices also felt fair considering the quality of the experience and the level of detail in the venue. It strikes a good balance between being special and still feeling accessible. I also had the pleasure of meeting my waitress Jessica, who was truly a delight to be around. She was patient when explaining the drinks to me and made the experience feel even more personal and enjoyable. That kind of service makes a big difference, and it really stood out. It is always nice when staff are not just efficient but genuinely friendly and engaged. I also tried the sausage rolls, which were fine but could have been better. They were not the highlight of the evening, but they did not take away from the overall experience either. The focus here is clearly more on the atmosphere, drinks, and sense of adventure, and in that regard the bar does extremely well. All in all, if you want to try something unique in London, this is definitely the place to go. It is stylish, creative, and full of personality, with excellent service and a setting that feels completely transportive. For anyone looking for a memorable speakeasy experience, Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration is absolutely worth visiting.”

“We love a cocktail in a quirky place, and this is just the place for that. Whilst the cocktails are on the pricy side (you are in London) and they are lovely. It was quite noisy, but you could hear to have a conversation and aren't all on top of each other. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the fact that it felt quite rushed, we had arrived early for our time, and by the time we had finished our first drink were being told that we needed to be finished at the table in the next 20 minutes. The table next to us were offered to be seated elsewhere, we weren't offered that.”

“We only had cocktails, food options looked pretty limited. They had a pretty decent selection of cocktails and the ones we had were fine. I would say you get more from the atmosphere than anything else, we had 2 drinks each which were all fine but nothing special. It's more of a one and done place I would say, not many other patrons seemed to hang around for more than that, probably a busy spot pre or post a show”
