About Mr Fogg's Gin Parlour
Mr Fogg's Gin Parlour is a cocktail bar at 1 New Row in London, reached by a hidden staircase inside a pub that leads up to the second floor. More than 200 gins are poured, and the staff guide guests toward a gin that matches their taste. The gin safari is a guided tasting led by a host in a tasting room, after which guests move on to the main parlour. The Martini Experience, built around frozen martinis, and a tipples and treat experience pairing cocktails with cake round out the tasting options. The cocktail menu is themed around places. The bar is open daily, and wine and champagne are served alongside the gin and cocktails.

“Mr. Fogg's Gin Parlour is a treat. The space is quaint and vibe forward, with parlor furniture and decor that make it feel cozy and lived in rather than staged. They pour more than 230 gins and offer a range of tasting menus, so gin lovers will be in heaven, but there is plenty here for anyone who just wants a glass of wine, champagne, or a beautifully made cocktail. The staff are wonderfully knowledgeable and happy to guide you to something you will love. Our server Julia was the highlight: warm, generous with her expertise, and the reason the evening felt special. Highly recommend.”

“The staff absolutely blew our experience out of the park. There were four of us in our party and we took part in the Martini Experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the fantastic venue. The atmosphere was inviting, intriguing and really set the scene for what turned out to be a wonderful afternoon. We were escorted to the gin area at the top of the stairs, which was reserved exclusively for our group. It felt very personal and special. Laura, our mixologist, was outstanding. She was engaging, knowledgeable snd clearly passionate about her craft. Her recommendations were excellent, and she made the whole experience both fun and informative. Learning how to make frozen martinis was fascinating and the hands-on element made it even more enjoyable. The cocktails were fantastic and the entire session was interactive, relaxed and never felt rushed. We felt genuinely cared for, valued and welcomed throughout. I would also like to mention the gentleman on reception, I think his name was Martin. He was equally lovely, friendly, caring, polite, engaging and extremely helpful. All four of us had the most wonderful time and were truly wowed by Laura, her knowledge and her hospitality. I would truly recommend this experience to anyone I know and my friends and family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a truly wonderful experience. Simon”

“Came here more than once but this time had very bad experience with the staff. The blonde white waitress was not kind to us. Apparently she was able to show kindness to other tables beside ours. I asked to order and she pretended haven’t seen or heard me at all. I was right in front of her. Later she said one moment and disappeared for whole 13 minutes. I timed. When we were paying, she came straight with the pos machine with no bills???? Then we asked to check the bill and find out that the salami was charged 8£ unlike the menu which showed 6£ instead. I guess the waitress sensed the tension she immediately took out the service fee when I asked her to. But then again came with no bill but the pos machine. I guess we have to do our own math in bars now. But That was the only kind thing she did to us that night. Weird isn’t it. 🤷♀️”

“Went on a gin safari - excellent! Well worth going. Informative and got to taste such a great selection of gins, bonus 😋 The young lady who led the talk was so knowledgeable, good fun. Would recommend 👌 The ONLY downside is that the toilets are down a very narrow, quite steep staircase. Not good for anyone with a mobility issue”

Customer Review Summary
Gin is the draw, and reviewers most often credit staff who guide drinkers to a gin matched to their taste. Guided sessions earn the most detail: a gin safari tasting led by a knowledgeable host, a martini experience where a group learned to make frozen martinis hands-on, and a tipples and treat session pairing place-themed cocktails with cake. The upstairs room is called cosy, chic and inviting, reached by what one reviewer calls a hidden staircase. Service is mostly described as friendly and attentive, though one reviewer reports a waitress who ignored their order, vanished for a long wait, and brought a card machine with no bill, after which the salami was charged above the menu price. Another notes the toilets sit down a narrow, steep staircase, hard for anyone with mobility issues. Several say they would return, citing staff who helped them discover new flavours.
