“wonderful food, very helpful behind the counter, ignore the silly cretins who don’t even know what restaurant they’re reviewing. 10/10 undoubtably the best takeaway Chinese food i’ve had in my career.”

“Absolutely loved ordering from New Dragon in Willesden. The food was honestly amazing, everything arrived hot, fresh and packed with flavour. The crispy aromatic duck was cooked perfectly, the salt and chilli dishes had the right kick, and the chow mein was easily one of the best I’ve had in ages. You can really tell they put care into every dish. The hospitality and service were brilliant as well, really friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Definitely a 5 star takeaway and I’ll 100% be ordering again soon.”

Customer Review Summary

Chow mein draws the most praise, with one reviewer singling out the roast pork chow mien and another calling the chow mein one of the best in ages. Close behind are the Singapore fried noodles, special fried rice, crispy aromatic duck and salt and chilli dishes with the right kick, while the prawn crackers taste fresh. Reviewers also describe generous portions, hot food and friendly staff behind the counter. Minor notes include BBQ ribs that disappointed one diner and beef with vegetables that needed more garlic. Three reviewers are sharply negative. They report missing and wrong items, including a lamb in satay and sweet and sour chicken that never arrived, a phone number that went unanswered, wings likened to a chicken shop, and rice without soy sauce. Another says the food barely covered the bottom of a small container and smelled bad, and one reports hygiene below an acceptable level. One longtime customer is glad the place is still there after ten years abroad.
