  “Myself and my family have been ordering from this Chinese since I was a little kid and it remains top 3 in places to eat for me! I’m now quite a bit older and I’ve passed on the love to my wife who like me adores it aswell! The food is incredible and for someone like me who likes a bigger portion, the sizes are perfect! Thank you for always being so nice when we order and come in! And thank you for the birthday wishes and gift! Highly recommended! Love No.6 - Ben!”

  “We have just discovered Cathay chef, to say this is an amazing Chinese is an understatement. After a recommendation from my mum we just had pork fried rice, chicken chow mein and beef in black bean sauce,all 3 were exceptional, the shop is spotless and the order was ready when we collected. 2 large dishes and a regular came to £20.50 so not only is the food fantastic they are very good value for money. We have tried most Chinese restaurants around Ealing and Northfields and always say we need a really good Chinese, we have found it at cathay chef and will now be getting our Sunday Chinese here!!! Sorry no photos, it smelt so delicious we didn’t stop to take any!! 🤤”

  “This review is long overdue, I went here a couple of times when I was in uni. I was in the mood for Chinese food, and it was the only one I knew of nearby at the time. The first time I bought from this shop was just okay, as was the food, honestly lacking compared to the same dish I've had at other restaurants. The second time I went there, I ordered the same dish (chicken fried rice, in case anybody is wondering), but with an add-on taken out, which should have been cheaper than the first time I had ordered it, according to the menu price listing. However, they overcharged me more than what I had paid the first time with add-on's included, and as they handed me back my change, both the man and the woman next to him stared at me as if they were checking to see if I noticed that they skimmed money off the top. I did very much notice, but it was late and I was tired, wasn't in the mood to cause a scene. But that doesn't change the fact that this restaurant isn't above resorting to scummy tactics. This was all a few years ago back when I was in university. But looking back, their actions doesn't surprise me as the food I had there was subpar, and they probably didn't have many customers coming in as a result... Which may have added to their decision to scam me that day (and possibly other customers), to boost their profits.”

  “Good service. The taste is good. Only a minor defect, assuming that the Singapore style noodles is a chow mein as it was mentioned under chow mein. But I got Singapore style vermicelli. But the taste is good. So can't complain.”
