About Wingmans

Wingmans is a chicken restaurant at 29-31 Old Compton St in Soho, London, with a dedicated gluten-free wing menu that gives coeliac guests a range of GF flavours to choose from. An unlimited wings brunch runs alongside the regular menu, so the wings can be ordered as a bottomless meal. Bang Coq wings come in a sweet, spicy sauce, and the Friend Zone Strips cover the boneless side of the menu. The Classic OG Burger gives the kitchen a non-wing option. Seating is split between an upstairs and a downstairs area. The bar runs a happy hour with a two-cocktail deal and pints of Wingman's lager and Jubel peach beer.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the Bang Coq wings, praised for a sauce with real depth, a kick that builds, and generous coating, with one reviewer finding it could be spicier. Close behind are the Friend Zone Strips and the Classic OG Burger, while the Buffalo Chicken, Truffalo wings, Shanghai chicken and Tonkatsu Pork Bellies each draw individual praise. Diners describe chicken that is crunchy outside and juicy inside, and several say the food arrived quickly. Staff are called friendly and attentive, and one reviewer notes a gluten free range that made the whole party feel included. Happy hour cocktails and the Jubel peach beer earn mentions too. The main complaint is atmosphere: one party seated alone downstairs found it too quiet and a bit claustrophobic, and another found the Fire Fries a bit too saucy. One diner who often orders delivery found the food even better when dining in, and another was let in to order just as the kitchen was closing.

“Food and service at Wingmans is always excellent. Wingmans is also a fantastic locarion for good gluten free / coeliac friendly food. The staff are knowledgeable and practices/processes clear and understood. There is a good range of GF flavours on the menu. The GF food tastes great and all members of the party feel included.”

“This has been almost 2nd visit and won’t be the last. These are lovely wings and also the sources are full of flavour. Roughly the prices I’d say £20-£25 each also including having starters is your choice or also to have extra such as chicken strips or sides”

“First time eating here, we were sat straight away and the staff were very friendly. The food and drink came out quick and tasted AMAZING and the portions were perfect and filling. The atmosphere was great and it was very clean. When we finished someone came over straight away to wipe the table down. Overall, I highly recommend!”

“Loved it! We had a Classic Og Burger, Shanghai chicken, and friend zone strips. All items were very tasty and the wait time wasn’t long at all. Restrooms were also super clean which made the experience even better. The employees were also friendly, and our server, Jonathan (on the receipt) was incredibly helpful :) Deffo recommend! The portion sizes surprised me and I left feeling full.”
