About Bake Street
Bake Street is a cafe in London at 58 Evering Rd, built around a crème brûlée cookie with a crunchy biscuit, a creamy centre and a hard caramelised sugar top. The specials change often and include baked goods, drinks, soft serves, weekend specials and collabs, so the board gives regulars something new to try. Pastries and savoury snacks sit alongside classic brews. The savoury side runs to a Nashville hot chicken bun, and the soft serve comes in flavours such as frozen yoghurt and mango. Seating is limited, and tables are hard to find on weekends.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Nashville hot chicken, whether in a bun or burger, with one calling it a particular favourite, another a safe and tasty option, and a third finding it sweeter than spicy. Close behind are the crème brûlée cookie, praised for its crunchy biscuit, creamy centre and hard caramelised top, and the fish sandwiches, including a baja fish version described as perfectly cooked, hot and crispy in a soft bun. A smash burger is called nearly perfect, and a few mention the jalapeno corn bread and tom yum chicken bun as new but working. Coffee and mango ice cream get good words, and staff are described as nice, polite and helpful. The caveats are specific: the frozen yoghurt soft serve was found icier and more watery than creamy, tater tots tasted like frozen hash brown bites to one reviewer, and another felt the frying oil tasted old and left a bad taste after a Nashville hot chicken bun. Tables are hard to find at weekends, and outdoor seating is limited.

“Tried the crème brûlée cookie, frozen yoghurt soft serve, Nashville hot chicken burger and Easy Sipper. Liked the crème brûlée cookie, especially the crunchy biscuit itself with the creamy crème brûlée centre and hard caramelised sugar top. Also enjoyed the frozen yoghurt soft serve, but don’t expect your typical froyo! The texture is much icier and more watery rather than creamy, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Was expecting the Nashville hot chicken burger to be much spicier, but it wasn’t really spicy and leaned more towards the sweeter side for me. Love that they always have ever-changing baked goods, drinks, soft serves and weekend specials. Overall, a cute spot and I’d come back to try some of their different options — sandwiches, burgers, tacos, drinks, soft serves, and other weekend specials!”

“I wanted to love it, but the oil the cook in seems really old to me. Doesn’t taste right and leaves a bad taste. I had the Nashville hot chicken bun I believe it’s called. Coffee was good.”

“Excellent food; I went for the baja fish sandwich which was SUPERB…perfectly cooked, hot, crispy fish in a soft bun, well dressed.”

“Exceptional burgers, tacos, bakes and soft serves. Excellent coffees and interesting homemade soft drinks.”

“Absolutely lived up to its hype! The fish filay and Nashville chicken buns were delightful, pillowy buns and everything perfectly fried. Would also highly recommend getting some tater tots on the side. Can't wait to return and try everything else on the menu!”
