Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Sunday roast, with several calling it the best they have had, and one noting a choice of beef, lamb, chicken or pork. One describes a brisket plate that arrives as a massive heap with vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Close behind is the cauliflower, praised as a dish on its own and as deep fried cauliflower on flatbread that one diner found too mountainous to finish. The haggis draws a mention as better than any had in Scotland, and others name a smashed burger with fries, a mushroom shawarma and a veggie full English. The record shop on the same floor and the DJ or records playing give the room its vibe, and the coffee and prices are repeatedly called good value. Staff are described as friendly and kind, and the large space suits groups. The one caveat is that ordering took a while during the busy lunch hour, though the reviewer was happy to wait while staff worked through everyone's orders.

“A really awesome, chill place with affordable prices. Took a bit of time to get the order during the busy lunch hour, but I was happy to wait and do my things in the meantime. The staff clearly did their best to prepare everyone’s orders. The record shop on the same floor is also really cool!”

“This video cannot capture the essence of this play and its food. I have been coming here to study and work for years, it has always guaranteed the most incredible live dj sets that get me on my mental working space. The food, ( the cauliflower dish specially) is just mouthwatering. BUT TODAY, I came here for the first time on a Sunday morning, and I had the chance to try their Sunday Roast. And this is were my vocabulary runs out of words to describe. 100% the best roast I’ve had in years Ultimately, thank you for creating this beautiful unique atmosphere and for always treating everyone with such respect and kindness.”
