Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the setting by the lock and canal, with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and prices they call reasonable at this large Wetherspoons. Fish and chips earn praise for quality at the price, food is described as coming out quickly even when busy, and the beer selection is liked, though one reviewer found the Guinness not great. Several mention friendly staff, ground floor toilets, and ordering by app. Service and upkeep draw the complaints. Reviewers say the staff are very busy, with a queue at the bar and tables left uncleared, and one waited an hour for a drink after cold food arrived, calling the cocktail like water. Another describes chicken bones left under a table, and one notes smoking in a non-smoking area. One reviewer cleared and cleaned their own table on arrival.

“I waited an hour for my drink after they brought me my food, which was also cold. The cocktail was like water, and the refresher was just orange juice, which I don't like. Small portion and not worth it at all , people smoke in a non-smoking area. dirty and noisy.”

“Came on Tuesday evening. Right by Camden Lock. Highly recommended. Huge place with lots of seating both outside and inside. Like the interior decor. Food choices quite wide and similar with other spoons.”

“A huge Wetherspoons with outdoor seating on Camden Lock. It is a very busy area which reflects very much on the pub, the staff are incredibly busy, so you will expect to find some tables not cleared and quite possibly a queue at the bar. Positive notes there are toilets on the ground floor (no stairs) and although there may not seem to be a table at really busy times, if you are prepared to wait the turnaround is quite quick, and despite how busy it was, the food didn’t take a long time to come out, and as we all spoons, the prices are reasonable! Negative, I am positive that the place is cleaned thoroughly overnight, but one of the tables by the bar had chicken bones on the floor underneath it, now I know it would’ve been done by a customer not a member of staff, but I walked past it twice, I don’t understand why a member of staff wouldn’t have also seen it and cleaned it up. When I arrived I needed to clear and clean my own table, I’m not too proud to do that, but it’s worth noting on a review I think.”
