Customer Review Summary
The cheeseburger draws the most comment, and opinions on it split sharply. Fans call the burgers delicious and say the fried onions and processed cheese recall old-school fairground burgers and childhood. Others describe a stale bun, a flavourless patty, or a burger that arrived cold. Cheesy chips and a hot dog described as good as British food gets also earn praise, and one reviewer calls the food relatively cheap, though another finds even a soft drink expensive for this kind of place. Slow service is the recurring complaint. Several describe long queues with only one or two staff, people giving up and leaving, and a small portion of chips taking far too long even from second in line. The staff themselves are called polite, gentle and kind, and one reviewer says the loud music on the pier ruins the vibe. One diner's chips came out fairly quickly, but the cheeseburger was forgotten and only arrived after the chips were finished.

“Cheeseburger byl chuťově docela dobrý ale studený. Hranolky se sýrem byli dobré.. Kluci za barem v pohodě :)”

“Pier Grill on the Deck delivers a mixed bag, but if you're chasing a bit of seaside nostalgia, the cheeseburger might just hit the spot. The patty’s modest charm, paired with fried onions and that unmistakable processed cheese, evokes memories of old-school fairground burgers — the kind you’d eat with sandy fingers and a breeze in your hair. Service can be slow and the setup a little chaotic, but for a quick bite at the end of the pier, it’s passable. Just don’t expect gourmet — this is fast food with a view and a whiff of the past”

“Great food and great all round. Great burger & chips. Clean plates. Relatively cheap food too.”

“Horrible ‘cheeseburger’. We ordered chips and a cheeseburger, the chips came fairly quickly but they’d fully forgotten about the cheeseburger and when it did finally arrive, 20 minutes after we finished the chips, it was a stale bun, a flavourless patty and some American style cheese. Unbelievable that they would charge 4,40 for something so bad. (And that price is without the chips…). I know its ’fairground food’ but even with low expectations this was bad. Also really loud music on the pier, ruins the vibe.”

“The guy preparing the food was really gentle and kind. The hot dog was as good as British food gets.”
