Customer Review Summary

Curries draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out a spicy speciality curry, a Goan curry balancing sweetness with tamarind tartness, and a tikka masala with a coconut taste. Chicken tikka, chicken handi and soft cheese naan also get mentions. Several describe generous portions and friendly, attentive staff, and one calls the mixed starters very generous. Others had a different meal. One group found the dishes bland enough that everyone reached for salt, and thought the mutter paneer and starters were small for the cost. Another diner got a dish with more chillies than rice, and the staff would not accept the mistake. A vegetable biryani was described as plain rice mixed with vegetables. Billing complaints recur as well. One diner was charged more than the menu board showed and received only a partial refund after returning the next day, and another was charged for extra popadoms after being told they were complimentary.

“Unfortunately, our experience at Bengal Dynasty was extremely disappointing. We came here expecting a good Indian meal, but the food was nowhere near what we expected. The dishes were lacking flavour, full of artificial colour, and overall the food was simply not enjoyable. Considering the price, we expected a much better standard. We came here hoping to enjoy a nice dinner during our visit to Llandudno, but unfortunately it ended up being one of the worst meals of our trip. We would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Very disappointing, especially given the restaurant’s reputation.”

“We visited this restaurant during our holiday in North Wales in mid-June, expecting to enjoy a nice dinner, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The food was a huge letdown. I ordered the vegetable biryani, but it was nothing like a real biryani. It was simply plain rice mixed with vegetables, with no authentic biryani flavour, aroma, or presentation. It didn't look, smell, or taste like biryani at all and was definitely not worth the price. The biggest issue, however, was the pricing. The main menu board clearly displayed the vegetable biryani at £10.75, but when I received the bill, I was charged £14.95. I only discovered this because I had taken a photo of the menu board for my holiday photos. Later, when I was checking my bill and looked back at the photo, I noticed the prices didn't match. Otherwise, I probably would never have realised I had been charged a different amount. When I returned the next day to ask about it, the staff said the menu board had not been updated and that it was showing the old price. They refunded me £2, but I was still charged more than the price displayed on the menu. Displaying one price and charging another is misleading and unfair to customers. Most people would never notice the difference. The staff were not particularly helpful when I raised the issue, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, the poor quality of the food, misleading pricing, and lack of helpful customer service left us very disappointed. I would never recommend this restaurant.”

“Highest quality, ample portions, but can tell they focus on quality. The lamb I had was delicious, the Speciality curry was a spicy one and an experience to enjoy. Little one's tikka masala had a pure coconut taste and the Mrs' speciality one was medium hot and she ate every bit.. highly recommend the large bottle of Kingfisher to wash it all down. Oh and the Naan bread, soft and exquisite! Thanks for topping off our stay to Llandudno!”
