About Buyers Club
Buyers Club is a restaurant at 24 Hardman St in Liverpool, serving pizza and pasta with a bar alongside. The cacio e pepe butter beans come with truffle and focaccia, and they anchor the starters. Pasta is made fresh from scratch and cooked on the al dente side, as in the fennel sausage rigatoni. Gluten free options are on the menu, and an iPad lists the ingredients for guests managing allergies. The bar pours spicy margaritas, cocktails and wine. Inside, a small restaurant area sits at the entrance next to a quick service bar eating area, and a larger dining room lies beyond the kitchen.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return above all for the cacio e pepe butter beans with focaccia, which came up in most reviews and are described as incredible. Close behind are the pastas, including the fennel sausage rigatoni and sun-dried tomato pasta, plus pizza, arancini and tiramisu. One reviewer notes the pasta is fresh but on the al dente side, and another found the seasoning occasionally needed more flavour. Cocktails, wine and spicy margaritas get praise, and staff are repeatedly called friendly. One diner with a nut allergy was given an iPad listing which ingredients they could and couldn't have. The main criticisms are about the roast, where the trimmings, particularly the cabbage, disappointed, and about seating. One pregnant reviewer, told tables were first come first serve, watched two later-arriving parties seated ahead of them after waiting about 45 minutes, and said the host responded rudely when asked about it. Several suggest booking, and one reviewer misses the wild mushroom tagliolini that was replaced by pappardelle.

“Amazing place to have some good arancini, pasta and tiramisu in Liverpool centre. The staff is super friendly, the food is great and ambient is cozy and welcoming. I love going there! The only thing is that I miss the “wild mushroom tagliolini” instead of “wild mushroom pappardelle”!! Will it come back? Thank you!!! 🥰”

“I am 7 months pregnant and haven’t been out much, but as the weather was nice we decided to take a trip to the buyers club for some pasta. To no surprise, the tables outside were full, we asked if we could wait for a table and were told we would get one as soon as one came available and to take a seat at the side, it was emphasised that it was a first come first serve basis. We sat down and got some drinks, I actually took a picture of the venue as we arrived as it was aesthetically pleasing (later to be proof that we were in fact some of the only people waiting). 40 minutes passed and a table came available, a party of 5 that arrived at least 10 minutes after us were seated. As someone who has worked as a hostess before, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. We had now been waiting 45 minutes and another table came available, a party of 3 who came in over 15 minutes after us were then seated ahead of us. At this point, my partner (who never loses his patience) asked the host why this was, and what the system was as we were told it was first come first serve, which clearly wasn’t the case. He was met by an awful attitude from the host, who insisted that both parties arrived after us, which was completely untrue and I had photo evidence that showed otherwise, when my partner asked if we would be guaranteed the next table, he was told no, because he didn’t like being challenged. He was rude, unprofessional and clearly not very capable at his job.”

“One of favourite places for a relaxed pasta and bread stop. The cacio pepe butter beans are incredible and there is somethkng seriously wrong with you if you dont like them! Foccacci bread is one of the best in the city. Pasta is fresh. On the aldente side so if you want it softer you may need to ask. Flavour of the pasta is mostly superb, though there have been odd occasions were the flavour and seasoning could be amplified. Not my favourite dessert menu but I dont come here for dessert personally. Also perfect for pre theatre trip.”

“Vibey, popular restaurant in Liverpool serving excellent pizza and pasta dishes. The cacio e pepe butterbeans were absolutely amazing!! Service was fantastic. Atmosphere was great - it was packed on a Tuesday night! And the cocktails and wine were also really good. Enjoyed the spicy margaritas.”
