About Bubbas Trap Kitchen
Bubbas Trap Kitchen is a family restaurant in Liverpool at 7 Smithdown Rd, and its menu is built around the Bubbas Box. The box holds a lobster tail, bang bang prawns and salmon, with corn on the cob and mac & cheese as sides. House slaw comes alongside the lobster. A salt and pepper box with rice covers a different order, and brownie bites are offered as a dessert portion. The drinks list includes mango punch and blue ice. Orders are placed in the shop, and customers can then wait in the car while staff bring the food out when it is ready.

Customer Review Summary
Box meals draw the most praise, led by the Bubbas Box of lobster tail, bang bang prawns, salmon, corn on the cob and mac and cheese, noted for its big portion and bold flavour. Lobster and bang bang prawns are called full of flavour, with one reviewer pairing the lobster with the creamy house slaw. Close behind are the mac and cheese, the salt and pepper box with rice delivered hot and crispy, and gooey, rich brownie bites. Mango punch and blue ice are the drinks named, and one reviewer found the seafood a little spicy. The one critical reviewer found the BBQ chicken box disappointing: the burger chicken was dry and overcooked, the wings heavily coated, and the mac and cheese short on cheese, though the curly fries were on point. Regulars describe orders that are consistently right, and one says management fixed a small order problem immediately. Two reviewers mention staff bringing food out to waiting cars, and one saw a free grape soda added to a birthday order.

“I’ve been a returning customer at Bubbas Trap Kitchen for years and I genuinely cannot fault this place. The food is UNREAL! Full of flavour, perfectly seasoned and clearly made with so much care and attention to detail. The staff are amazing too, and nothing is ever too much hassle. Every order I’ve ever had has been spot on, and in all the years I’ve been ordering, I’ve genuinely never had a bad experience or a bad order. The consistency is incredible. If you’re looking for proper food, amazing flavours and great service, Bubbas Trap Kitchen is the ONE. 10/10 every single time… phenomenal! 🔥🤤 side note - the drinks selection is a game changer 🥤”

“So after a big hype I've seen on Instagram!! I was excited to try here! Unfortunately I was very disappointed! I got the BBQ Chicken box meal. Came with 3 wings, Mac and cheese, curly fries and BBQ chicken burger. The chicken in the burger was dry and very overcooked. Could barely bite into half of it! Very chewy. The chicken wings were heavily coated so took a sec to get to the chicken. The Mac and cheese was questionable. Dry, barley any cheese and no flavour. Just rubbish! Worst I've ever had! Curly fries were on point tho!!! Try with low expectations from my point of view! The staff were great tho very helpful. Couldn't fault him just the chef unfortunately”
