About Isabell Nails & Spa
On Breck Rd in Liverpool, Isabell Nails & Spa is a nail salon that takes walk-ins every day, including Sundays. Services span BIAB builder gel with chrome finishes, acrylic nail extensions, and shellac applied to both fingers and toes. French manicures with nail art and flower designs are also available, and the team takes on custom or intricate designs by request. Beyond nails, the salon books brows and lashes appointments as well. The entrance is step-free and wheelchair-accessible, making it workable for visitors with mobility needs. No appointment is needed, and the salon operates on a cash-only basis, so customers should plan to bring cash rather than a card.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the nail work itself, especially BIAB and acrylic sets, with one describing brown chrome BIAB with extensions that came out exactly as asked. Several say the technicians take on any design, and a couple note that their nails last far longer than at previous salons. Shellac French tips on toes get a mention too, and a few describe the pricing as reasonable. The newer, younger team draws repeated comment, and one reviewer says they drive in from another city. Complaints are sharper than the praise is long. One reviewer reports being burned several times by the electric drill during BIAB removal, with no apology, and says the shape was done differently from what was requested. Another describes a pedicure with no foot mask or lotion and a very short leg massage, and a third says a technician laughed at a flower design photo and sighed through the appointment. One asked for a redo or refund over inexperienced new staff. One reviewer who wanted lashes and brows found neither available, yet still called the nails brilliant and the staff patient about changes.

“Went for French nails with a flower design, the man doing my nails showed the picture to the woman and started laughing making me feel uncomfortable. He kept sighing as he did my nails as if it was a chore. My sister got a more intricate design yet he charged me more! £45 wasted! They are very sharp too I have had to file them myself. Won’t go again.”

“Hello. I had my nails done at your salon in England recently, but unfortunately the service was very poorly done. It seems the new staff members don’t have enough experience, and the result is not acceptable. I would like this to be resolved in the next few days either by having my nails redone properly or by receiving a full refund. I’ll leave the choice up to you. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to your reply.”

“I can’t lie after going to this shop for the past year I had no issues, however the last two times I’ve been has been the worst service. Just asked what do you want and what shape and they do it how they WANT to do it and when you query about the shape you just get told “it is” when it really isn’t what you asked for. Not once was I asked if I wanted them cut shorter and it was very hard to initiate a conversation so I just felt awkward the whole time tbh. Got burned several times with the electric nail drill when they were removing the old biab off and no apologies or recognition he’d burnt my nail beds SEVERAL times on different fingers. Agree with the previous comment, felt like an inconvenience and I was a bother for being a paying customer. Normally get both hands & toes done but just wanted to hurry up and leave yesterday after not liking the shape and the facial expressions I was given back because they look narrow at the top & more coffin. Also go biab but to be honest, I’ve never had biab so thin, meant to strengthen your nails however my nails feel flimsy. Not impressed and sorry to say I won’t be returning back which is an utter shame. Loved the shop previously it was such a friendly atmosphere, not anymore.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼”

“This review is one I am very sad to be posting but I have to be honest. The service I received was appalling. My foot soak and pedicure was nearly £50, my feet came out not much better than when I arrived. No foot mask or lotion applied to my heels. A half a minute half an effort leg massage. I felt rushed and like an inconvenience. Same with my nails. They're already chipping on the ends. I've messaged the salon and they've not read the message. I felt so uncomfortable and £100 worse off for nothing but a bad experience and feeling very unhappy and sad indeed.”

“Best nail salon in Liverpool! I very recently visited here for the first time. I can honestly say it’s 5*. I’m so impressed. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the salon was busy when I came on a walk in day - Sunday, but the wait wasn’t too long. Honestly I wouldn’t have minded waiting longer as I am so impressed with my nails. They look amazing, exactly what I wanted- brown chrome BIAB with extensions - the shape, length, colour, chrome etc are perfect. Along the process the nail tech checked I was happy. They’re very friendly & easy going. I didn’t feel any awkwardness’s as I have in so many other salons. I didn’t feel rushed like they just wanted to get me in & out, but actually paid attention to the details of what I wanted & me as a customer. I am so impressed and will only go here from now on. Thank you team for making the experience what it was, for once I actually want to go back to a nail salon!”
