About Q's Kitchen

Q's Kitchen is a fast food restaurant in Liverpool, at Unit 2, next to a McDonald's and a Travelodge near Anfield. The full English breakfast is served as late as 7pm, so the breakfast menu runs well into the evening. Black pudding can be swapped out, with an extra hash brown offered instead. Burgers include a half-pound cheeseburger served with salad and no bread, for anyone who wants the patty without the bun. The kitchen also makes pasta dishes from scratch and cooks them fresh to order, and the menu adds salad and pasta boxes, rice boxes and a large selection of salt and pepper. Dogs are welcome. Homemade carrot cake rounds out the menu.

Customer Review Summary

The full English breakfast is what reviewers mention most, with several calling it better than any greasy spoon, praising the cooked-right eggs, generous portions and baked beans that don't taste sickly sweet. One notes the kitchen offers an extra hash brown when black pudding is declined, and another enjoyed it so much they returned the next morning. Close behind are the homemade dishes: spaghetti meatballs cooked fresh to order with a sauce that wasn't from a jar, a huge Club Stack with real mayo, and a carrot cake described as moist and outstanding. One reviewer had a bunless half pound cheeseburger for a low carb diet and called it among the tastiest they'd had. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, with one noting a full English was available at seven in the evening. The complaints centre on price and quality. One reviewer waited 15 minutes for a sausage and egg barm with two thin sausages and a very small egg, and another found the Philly cheese steak with chips expensive for reformed meat and cheesy chips. A working lads' 10% discount was mentioned by one diner.

“Better then any greasy spoon breakfast I’ve had. Almost ended up in Maccy’s next door but I’m glad I didn’t! Didn’t need to wait for long, nice and fresh, and worth every penny. Highly recommended!”

“Ordered the Philly cheese 'steak' and chips. £9.50 is very expensive for reformed meat and cheesy chips”

“Absolutely brilliant experience at Q’s Kitchen. You can genuinely tell there’s passion behind the food and service. The English breakfast was one of the best I’ve had — fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, generous portions and full of flavour. The Italian pasta was incredible too, proper homemade taste and cooked exactly how it should be. The homemade carrot cake deserves a special mention because it was honestly outstanding — moist, fresh and easily one of the nicest cakes I’ve had in a long time. What really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere and attention to detail. Friendly service, welcoming environment and food made with real care. It’s the type of place you visit once and immediately want to come back to. Highly recommended to anyone looking for quality homemade food, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake. Q’s Kitchen is an absolute gem.”
