About The White Horse
On Acrefield Rd in Woolton Village, The White Horse is a pub open daily for walk-ins, with no booking needed. Horse-themed decor runs throughout the room, and a stuffed badger's head is mounted on the wall alongside old wooden benches fitted with call bells. The bar pours cask and real ales that vary by visit, alongside a wider range of wines, beers, ciders and spirits, and crisps are available at the counter. Dogs are welcome on the premises, making it a workable stop for anyone out with a pet in the village. The mix of real ale on rotation and the fixed decor gives regulars and passersby alike a reason to drop in without planning ahead.

Customer Review Summary
Complaints are mixed. One visitor found only two ales available, another found no music or TV at lunchtime, and one reviewer calls it costlier than the Coffee House. A damp smell and a pet shop smell are each mentioned. Service draws criticism from a few, including a bartender who did not ask what one customer wanted and an older barman called uncommunicative. One reviewer says a family with a booked table was told their small dog could not eat there despite the dog friendly listing. Another reviewer reports being refused a drink and says it was due to a disability.

“When we're having a few drinks in Woolton Village we always call in here. It's a well maintained lovely little pub seems to cater for locals who come in for a quiet pint. They normally have a great choice of real ales but unfortunately they only had two ales available when we dropped in, but they still have a decent range of drinks. Service was quick and there's always seems to be seats and a table available.”
