  “On the approach, it was pleasing to see this was a large standalone building with ample parking. On entering, everything was well set out, with an easily accessible counter, stylish decor, and plenty of space for diners. The staff were polite and friendly, and everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. I could smell the delicious aroma of beef dripping, which is always encouraging. Firstly, we ordered salt and pepper squid, but the portion was quite poor, with fewer than half a dozen small pieces in the bag. There were no vegetables or garnish of any description, which was quite disappointing, and the squid was not particularly tender. The haddock, on the other hand, was thick, fresh and delicious, with a subtle sweetness, all wrapped in a light, crispy batter. The chips had a nice flavour, but were quite limp overall. The mushy peas, despite being over-seasoned, had a lovely thick consistency, while their in-house fishcake was delicious and thick, again in that light, crispy batter. Overall, a clean, spacious and welcoming chip shop with excellent haddock and a very good fishcake.   “Called in here for first time, with a friend who frequents. Not sure why I’ve never been in before, probably because of the calories🤭 When I lived at Scopwick, used to eat at their one at Ruskington. Called in about 2.30 and, apparently, missed the rush. We both had a regular haddock with half portion of chips and salad. Delicious. I also had a large white wine at a reasonable price. I would certainly eat here again, plus loads of parking. Staff very friendly.”

  “We really enjoyed our first time at the Elite restaurant. The fish and chips were superb with good sized portions at a reasonable price. The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely fitted out and decorated. The staff seemed very pleasant too. Will certainly be coming back here!”

  “Very nice place. A bit pricey but serving size and quality is great for the value. 👌 Staffs are very polite and accommodating. We will definitely recommend this place and come back again.”

  “Lovely fish and chips, very hot, fresh and large portion size, this was a regular haddock meal deal. I couldn't eat all the chips but they were cooked really nice and nothing too greasy. It was busyish but not too busy. Some music would have been nice.”

  “This is a small chips not regular, very small and when i questioned it she insisted it was regular, this is about half the regular portion size, i come every week i know the difference between small medium and large. If this happens again I'm never coming back ever again. If it was half an hour earlier i would have driven back. But you close at 8pm And I'll be opening it before walking out every single time from now on. Nearly 18 quid for tin of coke (not very) large fish and small chips is a mockery.”

  “Not too busy when I went for fish and chips. The restaurant is pleasant and the staff are friendly. The food didn't take long to be brought to the table. Lemon Sole and chips with curry sauce were tasty and well presented.”

  “Great little Fish Shop sit situated close to many other shops like m&s, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Matalan and Iceland. Has a nice family field to it with having picnic benches outside and it also has a restaurant attached at the side of the takeaway. Service was quick and the food was delicious, especially with it being new potatoes season. Prices are a little steep to be 100% on this compared to most fish and chip shops but don’t let that put you off as on a sunny day like today. It’s a really nice setting to grab some food sit outside and just enjoy it all. We had chips with a small pork sausage and then another portion of chips with a large Lincolnshire sausage. They even serve a branded ice cream with many different flavours. Highly recommend.”
