About The Ale House
The Ale House is a pub in Leigh at 25 Henrietta St, run as an old-fashioned local. Entertainment is a large part of what it offers. Karaoke evenings give customers a chance to take the microphone themselves, while live artists and groups perform in person, including a group in the afternoon. That gives visitors a choice between joining in and simply listening to a band. The pub also draws a crowd when football is on, so match days see a full room.

Customer Review Summary
Karaoke is the main draw, with reviewers pointing to Monday nights and weekends, and one calling it the best in Leigh. Close behind are the cheap beer prices and a friendly atmosphere, with the bar person described as chatty and helpful and others noting you never wait long to be served. Also mentioned are good artists on at weekends, a group playing one afternoon that surprised a visitor, and a big sunny beer garden for a quiet afternoon tipple. Regulars call it a proper old fashioned local with nobody the same and no judgement, and some say they have been coming for years. The one serious complaint comes from a reviewer who arrived hoping for karaoke, said they did not intend to drink because they had driven, and was treated rudely and kicked out within moments, finding the staff unwelcoming and judgemental. Every other review is positive. When football is on, the pub is usually heaving.

“Found this place on Google and came in hoping to enjoy some karaoke, was treated rudely by staff because I didn't buy a "Drink". Was instantly kicked out not even 30 seconds into entering, I told them I don't intend to drink because I drove here, as a I found the staff unwelcoming and judgemental, only hoping to make money. Avoid this place at all costs.”
