  “My lovely friend recommended that I try Groby Fish Bar and it was the best decision ever! I had an amazing experience here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they even introduced themselves , which me feel ver valued as a customer. The food, on the other hand, was fabulous! The chips were perfectly crispy and tasted amazing. I also loved the battered fish, it was fresh, crispy and absolutely delicious. The kebab roll was full of flavor and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

  “This is a nice good quality fish shop situated in the village of Groby. Whenever I want fish and chips this is the place I go to. The chips are well made and fish is nice well prepared. Also the fish and chip shop is very clean and had a 5 star food rating. Staff are polite and I remember the chips were cold too much and they gave me a ones straight out of the fryer This is the best fish and chips shop in Groby and for the surrounding areas of Ratby and villages.”

  “Brilliant chippy,the hole family uses it and have been our hole life,you can see how hard they work to deliver good quality food and service and get it spot on everytime,definitely recommend and big shout out to George and Hussain with good service every time and even workers such as Sam and tyan who have been there for years always get the job done correctly 🙌”

  “I had a great experience at Groby Fish and Chip Shop. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, welcoming, and very quick to take and prepare the order. You can really tell they care about their customers. The food was just as impressive. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter, and the chips were fresh, golden, and full of flavour. Everything was served hot and in good portions. Overall, it’s a fantastic place if you’re looking for quality food and great customer service. I would definitely recommend it and will be coming back again!”

The food is consistently excellent—crispy, golden batter on the fish, perfectly cooked chips, and generous portions that always hit the mark.   “This is the thin bit of fish I had in my large fish ! Chips are stale and curry sauce in full of stall. Awful ! And waste of money.never again. Get to the Rothley chippy!”

  “Absolutely brilliant local fish and chip shop. The fish is always fresh with a light, crispy batter, and the chips are proper traditional chips — fluffy on the inside and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous and great value for money. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and quick even when it’s busy. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. Easily one of the best fish and chips around — highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!”

  “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 What an absolute gem of a fish and chips shop! The fish was perfectly cooked—golden, crispy batter on the outside and beautifully flaky on the inside—and the chips were fresh, hot, and full of flavour. You can really taste the care that goes into the food here. What truly made the experience special, though, was the staff. Every single person was so kind, cheerful, and genuinely jolly that it instantly lifted my mood. They greeted customers with smiles, had lovely friendly banter, and made everyone feel welcome. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for food and leave feeling happier than when you arrived. Between the delicious meal and the wonderful atmosphere created by the team, this visit honestly made my day. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know!”

  “One of the best / yummiest fish & chips in LE3 & LE6 areas, freshly cooked food, friendly & helpful staff, reasonable price, the place is clean. There are seats / picnic tables outside for decent weather days, a couple of seats inside. As food is freshly cooked, so there is a little bit of waiting time, which is worth for the wait. Parking can be a bit of a problem as the village is getting busier but there are some street parking s nearby and also coop next door 🤭”
