About Little India at Arnesby
Little India at Arnesby is a modern Indian restaurant on St Peter's Rd in Leicester, open since 2004. The kitchen runs an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, which gives families a set-up for getting together around one table. Popadoms are served with a selection of pickles, and garlic and coriander naan is on the menu for those who want bread alongside their meal. The business also works as a takeaway, so the food is available beyond the dining room. A large car park sits on site for guests who arrive by car.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, led by a mixed starter of chicken tikka, sheekh kebab and onion bhaji, which one reviewer describes as crispy outside and fluffy and moist inside. Close behind are the Morchi chicken, called full of flavour with a lovely heat, and the garlic and coriander naan, called fresh and soft. The vegetable rice, pickle selection and popadoms also get mentions. One family calls the Sunday buffet full of choice and cheap, and another reviewer celebrated a birthday meal here. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, with one noting their humour. Several regulars say they have returned for 15 years or since 2008 for dine in, takeaway and delivery, citing consistently great food and good value. No complaints appear in the reviews. One takeaway customer was greeted with a smile, a pint and free popadoms while collecting an order, and another diner left with a gift of chocolates.

“I travelled 50 miles to the Little India Restarant for a meal with members of my Flying Club. The welcome from the restaurant staff, both individually, and collectively, was enthusiastically warm and friendly. Fahim gave me permission to come in my motorhome, park it discretely on their generously large car park, and stay the night. How cool was that. Superb menu, fabulous food, a few beers, and no worries about driving home. We are definitely going back to the Little India Restaurant at Arnesby!”

“Had a meal here last night. Service was excellent and was nice to see staff with a bit of humour! (Dont lose that!). Food was served with good interval between starters and mains. Mixed starter was perfect, chicken tikka cooked to perfection and full of taste, sheekh kebab was delicious, onion bhagie was crispy on the outside and fluffy and moist on the inside. The Morchi chicken was full of flavour with a lovely heat. So tasty! The veg rice was perfect too. As for the garlic and corriander nan, that was amazing. Fresh soft and perfect. Could not fault one thing! Even the pickle selection and popadoms were perfect. I would possibly say the best curry ive had!! And believe me ive had a few!! Thanks for perfect food and a great evening.”
