Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the main draw, led by the Nook breakfast and the Nook bacon and egg sandwich, which one reviewer says beats a fast food chain all day. Eggs Benedict, poached eggs on toast with a latte, and a bacon and chicken sandwich with nice garnishing on the side also earn praise, and one group marked the jubilee with a prosecco breakfast. Close behind are the cakes on display, with chocolate cake and coffee and walnut cake called yum, along with the hot chocolate. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, and one reviewer notes they stayed helpful and efficient while the cafe was busy. The one criticism is cost: a reviewer calls the pricing a bit steep and says the baguettes and sandwiches are light on filling for what they charge. Another reviewer sat outside with a gin from the selection, and outside customers are offered blankets while dogs get water bowls.

“Food is decent but I must admit the pricing is a bit steep. You don't get an awful lot of filling in the baguettes/sandwiches for the price either.”

“Pretty cafe in a good location in Anstey, very attractive cakes, biscuits, sweets on display, we had pieces of chocolate cake and coffee & walnut cake, so yum. A few tables next to the beautiful cakes, some more tables at a quiet room at the back, which has a couple of steps to get up to, more seats upstairs which I didn’t go up, also some outside tables & chairs, cafe is very sweet, they offer some blankets for outside customers, dogs are welcomed for the outside areas, water bowls are provided. Menu is decent, they offer hot food as well as cakes & treats, price is not bad. Staff is polite, service is good. Parking - there are some free outside parking, not just for cafe, they are for shops and others. A proper car park is just minutes away. It’s a lovely place to catch up with friends and enjoy yummy cakes & coffee.”
