About Chocoberry
Desserts lead the menu at Chocoberry, a coffee shop in Leicester at 130 London Rd. The kitchen makes cakes in house and serves afternoon teas, alongside sweet plates such as the Oreo waffle, vanilla milkcake and Biscoff French toast. Breakfast and lunch cover the savoury side, with bowls and pasta for the midday table. Masala tea comes in large mugs, and flower decor is part of the room. Seating is walk-in, and guests often wait to be seated when the cafe is busy. The cafe stays open late in the evening, which suits late-night visits, and it serves breakfast again the next morning.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the welcoming, friendly table service, with several describing servers who stayed warm and smiling even when the cafe was full or the evening ran late. Desserts draw close attention, among them the lava cake, Oreo waffle, vanilla milkcake and banana pudding, while one couple praised the Biscoff French toast, steak and eggs and desi breakfast. Others mention a fresh falafel bowl, a rich pasta, and masala tea served in large mugs. Flower decor and a clean room come up as well. The complaints centre on portions and value. One reviewer found the spicy chickpea bowl mostly rice and had to order extra curry, another called the brownie small next to a generous crepe and the cafe somewhat expensive, and a couple waited to be seated when it was busy. One reviewer with asthma was surprised that water was not served alongside tea, coffee and cake.

“Went for lunch yesterday at Chocoberry. I ordered Spicy chickpea bowl and to my surprise the chickpea curry to rice ratio was 1:3, which was not fair at all. Agreed, that the curry costs (cooking + spices) more than rice, but if you cannot provide equal ratio of curry to rice (1:1), then provide atleast 1:2 ratio and if that is also not possible, then I'd rather have a smaller bowl than eat dry white rice. Because of small curry size, had to order more curry which cost me £ 3.5 which is not worth while for the extra quantity given. Overall, didn't have a good experience.”

“Sanjeeda & Ahmed, Pratiksha, have BEEN ABSOLUTELY WELCOMING, WARM & So friendly. I’m very grateful to be told about this dessert franchise. Great ambiance, and flower decor, Gopika service was impeccable from start to finish, from guiding us through the various desserts & personal tastes. We all wanted nothing to heavy or rich, so we opted for simplicity, (Oreo Waffle/Vanilla Milkcake/Banana Pudding, which was perfect for us all, Tonight was a great night. Thank you for everything. See you next time! 💜💛”

“Visited Chocoberry Cafe today and had a great experience. The food was amazing, but the service really stood out. Even though the place was completely full, the staff were incredibly accommodating, polite, and professional throughout. My wife and I waited around 10 minutes to be seated, which was more than reasonable given how busy it was, and the team handled it really well. The cafe itself was also very clean and well kept. I had the steak and eggs, my wife went for the desi breakfast, and we shared the Biscoff French toast — everything was spot on. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
