Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, and most complaints center on the chips and burgers. Several call the chips hard and sub standard, one saying even their kids wouldn't eat them, while others praise the fries and curly fries as fresh, hot and excellent. A late-night crowd singles out the pizzas and the kebab with curly fries after a night out. Complaints about food quality recur: a Zinger burger described as off cuts shaped like a fillet, wings called dry and rock hard, a "steak" kebab with stale pitta and tough, chewy meat, and pizzas with next to no sauce. One reviewer reports food poisoning after an order, and another says they and their partner felt ill afterwards. Order accuracy also draws complaints, including a missing cheeseburger and fudge cake, a driver going to the wrong address, and a card machine that reviewers were told existed but didn't. One reviewer who found mold spots on burger bread praised the staff for a quick refund and 50% off the next order.

“Shared a half priced order and accused us of using it twice. Only ordered it from the initial leaflet and so disappointed in this. I've heard the chillis can be fiery 🤣”

“Ordered a cheeseburger, donner meat and chips, value box 2 and a chocolate fudge cake with cream... the order came and it was a donner meat and chips with sweetcorn relish all over and a value box 2... no fudge cake and no burger, so I rang back and they sent the cheeseburger (with no extra cheese or sweetcorn relish like I asked) and the fudge cake but tried charge me £5! So I said I wasn't paying it, he rang the manager and eventually said that's fine and left, no apology even!”

“Ordered a Zinger burger with 8 wings and fries. The fries were the only thing that didn’t piss me off—fresh, hot, and a decent portion. That’s where the good part ends. The wings were straight-up horrible. Dry, rock hard, and tasted like they were made from leftover stale chicken that had been fried and refried until it turned into something inedible. Completely disgusting. I wouldn’t feed that to anyone. The burger was just sad. No onion, no lettuce, no effort. Just a plain dry patty shoved in a bun with red cabbage like they couldn’t care less. As if the terrible quality wasn’t enough, we ended up with food poisoning today because of that garbage you served us yesterday. Stomach cramps, vomiting, the whole thing. Absolutely unacceptable. Total waste of money and now a serious health risk too. Feels like they’re cutting every corner possible and still charging full price. Never ordering from here again unless they seriously fix their food.”

“A real shame. Ordered from here for years but the food quality has been going downhill. “Steak” kebab had stale pitta and the toughest bit of low quality braising steak. It was so tough and chewy that it was inedible. Won’t be ordering from here again.”

“You know you've had a good night out in Leek when you end up in Abbie's. The pizzas are great after a few drinks, maybe one too many drinks but who's counting, not me that's why we went to Abbie's. Friends of mine have the Donna kabab and they always enjoy them especially with curly fries. Which are also excellent. Good job Abbie's team and thanks for keeping your doors open late for the people who've had a great night.”
