Customer Review Summary
Peppered steak is the dish that comes up most, praised as well seasoned with excellent gravy and, in one large portion, worth the treat, with one reviewer suggesting it be ordered with the sweet and sour gravy. Close behind are the dumplings, described as soft and sweet and good for dipping, and the oxtail and curry goat, which several call hearty and hot straight out of the pot. Also singled out are callaloo and salt fish, jerk chicken wings, plantains, rice and peas and the festivals. Generous portions recur throughout, as does warmth from the counter staff, whom one group credits with making the visit before the food arrived. The praise is not unanimous: one diner found the fried chicken hard to the bone and unfresh and said they would not return, and another rated the oxtail soft but bland for Caribbean food. When a delivery went astray, reviewers note the restaurant drove the rest of the order out themselves and added extra wings.

“After reading good reviews thought I’d take a pass in. Kept it simple to start with fried chicken meal . Very disappointed. Fried chicken was harrrrd up, unfresh, hard up to d bone. Maybe this was an off day I don’t know but won’t be visiting again unfortunately.”

“Peppered steak is to die for. I always get a large one when I treat myself (the dumplings are worth it too but make sure you get it with the sweet and sour gravy). You're welcome for introducing you to heaven btw.”

“We had oxtail, curry goat, plantains and dumplings. The portions were large and the food was delicious. I’ve had a lot of Jamaican food in the past and this is up there with the tastiest. It was hot and straight out the pot. Tamara and Kamoy made the experience before the food already worth it. They were really nice and we’ll definitely be coming back for seconds. Don’t hesitate to come by here if you want a hearty and delicious meal, surrounded by too many fast food places nowadays.”
