Customer Review Summary

Fried chicken is what reviewers raise most, described as crispy, flavorful and not oily, with the Korean fried chicken and spice-salt chicken named specifically. Close behind are the bubble teas, with the matcha bubble tea, taro drink made with real taro paste, and iced lychee drink singled out, and one reviewer calls them full of flavour and not too sweet. The chicken leg bento also earns praise, including a version with seaweed topping and a side egg. Portions are called generous, and the counter staff are described as friendly, quick and helpful with choosing, including one who suggested a combo that saved money. The complaints are sharper but fewer. One reviewer who knows Taiwanese food calls the Lu Rou Fan made with chicken inauthentic, saying pork is traditional and local spots in Taiwan do it better. Two others report tasteless deep fried chicken, and one describes a box that came with rubbery, tasteless fish instead of the squid rings expected, and another says the food looked lacklustre and did not make up for it in taste.

“Very bad experience, tasteless deep fried chicken. The box should come with squid rings instead I had fish, very rubbery and tasteless. Not worth the money.”

“As an Asian, I think this restaurant is a bit overrated. The Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) with chicken is not authentic. Traditionally, Lu Rou Fan is made with pork, which is much more flavourful and closer to what I experienced while travelling in Taiwan. To be honest, almost any local Taiwanese restaurant in Taiwan serves a better version. The prices are on the higher side but still acceptable. However, the bubble tea is authentic and tastes great. The fried chicken is also classic, crispy, and well-executed. Overall, I would come back for the drinks and snacks, but not for the Lu Rou Fan.”

“Not a bad thing to say.. what's not to like. Quick service, food is tasty. Lots of drink choices. I personally love the chicken bento with seaweed topping. The egg on the side is also lovely. Try everything... Trust me.. 😋😋”

“A total heaven for fried chicken. Everything is super delicious — from the Korean fried chicken to the bentos. I also tried their matcha bubble tea and it was really good too. Prices are decent as well, so I’d definitely recommend it.”
