About Smash Down Leeds

Smash Down Leeds is a fast food restaurant on Woodhouse Lane serving smash burgers, chicken fillet burgers, and doner and kebab options. The stir fry donner stands as a signature item, appearing on its own and within box meals like the box 3 and big box alongside tenders, wings, chips, and a choice of burger. Chips come with a cheese sauce on the side. Orders are placed at the counter or arranged for delivery, and the restaurant takes walk-ins rather than reservations. It opens daily, giving flexibility for those without a set plan to eat. High chairs are available for families with young children. The counter format keeps the operation straightforward, with the menu centred on burgers, doner, and box combinations rather than a wider sit-down offering.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers split sharply on Smash Down, and the stir fry donner box is what the happiest ones describe most. Fans praise the big box with tenders, wings, stir fry donner and chips, plus a juicy chicken fillet burger, a southern smash burger with turkey bacon, and fresh chips with cheese sauce. Several call the portions good value and the food served hot and quickly, and one praises the friendly staff and the music. Small gripes within the positive reviews include a watery garlic mayo, a stir fry donner that could use more spice and peppers, and small dips.

“Ordered a smash burger meal. Was the smallest baby sized burger I’ve ever had. The beef patty was wafer thin, basically I had a veggie bite, vegetables and sauce in a tiny bun.”

“Asked for 2 large chips they gave me 2 small but charged me 7 quid”

“Absolutely appalling experience. I ordered a chicken fillet burger and the chicken was clearly undercooked, it looked fine on the outside but was not properly cooked through. Not long after eating it I became seriously ill with food poisoning and ended up in A and E, which is honestly shocking. The service was just as poor. I stood at the counter for around ten minutes just to place my order and no one seemed bothered. The place felt understaffed and disorganised. This was not just disappointing, it was genuinely unsafe. Basic food safety has clearly been ignored here. I will not be coming back and I would strongly warn others to stay away. DO NOT ORDER!!!!”

“WOW- ordered a pizza and just the look of it was top quality. super delicious!!! had some chips and the steam was coming off them, and they were just the right saltiness. the dips are a little small though just enough for me. will definitely be ordering again. thanks!!!! :)”
