One of the best things about this specific branch is that it is 100% Halal-certified, which makes it a super reliable go-to spot in the city center for a delicious meal. ​The PERi-PERi chicken flavor was spot on as always, and the atmosphere inside The Light makes it a convenient and easy place to bring the family. ​My only real feedback is regarding the portion sizes: ​Kids’ Meals (Nandinos): The meal options are great for young kids, but for bigger children or heartier appetites, the chicken portion feels a bit too small. It would be great to have an option to add an extra chicken piece or upgrade the main protein portion for kids. ​Adult Meals: The flavor is amazing, but if you have a big appetite, the standard chicken portions (like the 1/4 chicken or single chicken breast) can leave you wanting more. An easy "extra chicken piece" add-on without having to upgrade to a full double meal would make a big difference. ​Verdict: Fantastic food, great Halal option in Leeds, and super friendly for families. Just wish there were a few more generous portion options for both the kids and adult mains!”

  “Myself and partner went as we've been to this nandos a few times. Walked in and we weren't acknowledged for a while as the kids were stood around talking. Every member of staff are kids stood around laughing joking etc. No one cracking the whip. My partners food came and was hot yet mine was very cold. Cold burger cold chips. Disappointed. My new meal came.back pretty quick but the service and cold.food has put us off. Needs major improvements”

  “Had a really nice experience at Nando’s today. Lillian and Kieran were both so friendly and helpful, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. They checked in on us, made sure everything was okay, and were just genuinely lovely. The food was great and the service made the whole experience even better. Thank you both!”

  “I love a Nando's, but this is the only branch where I've ever had issues. Sadly, it's also my local branch. I ordered at 4:53pm, collected my food, then went home. At 5:16pm I opened it and saw the state of the potato wedges. They looked like burnt scraps and there was about half the normal portion. I order wedges from Nando's all over the UK and I've never had them served like this before. I am (and now was) a regular customer at Leeds Light. I've eaten in and ordered takeaway/collection various times. Today, I'm rather disappointed that: 1. You served me scraps and didn't seem to care when I raised it. I called the branch and was told there was nothing you could do, and that I needed to contact Deliveroo. I bought and collected the food in person. 2. You told me you needed my name and email over the phone, then said you needed more details, so I asked if I should come into the branch. After a 20-minute round trip, all you actually needed was my name, email address and the last few digits of my card to issue the refund. 3. This is the second time I've had issues with the wedges at Leeds Light. Honestly, this branch seems to have a personal grudge against potato wedges. The last time they charged me but were actually out of stock. That time, one female colleague simply refunded me there and then. This time, I'm told it will take 5 to 7 days just to refund £5.25. Of course, I don't pay for scraps, and I certainly don't expect Nando's to serve scraps/poor quality food, so I handed the scraps back. I love Nando's, but I might need to relocate just to find a branch that can serve the humble potato wedge to an adequate standard.”

  “I’ve been to this nandos a few times and have only really had one bad experience. I had a raw pitta a while ago and the manager was reluctant to give me another one as she said it was just veins. However I went last Tuesday and the chicken was genuinely raw. I didn’t even bother raising it because of the response I got last time. I have dm’d nandos on instagram and I have still had no response. But I will not be returning to this branch as this has happened too many times now!”

  “i love a Nando’s day, the chicken boneless thighs are always yummy with peri chips. I love their food served warmly and colleagues will always ask if everything is good. The tables & cutlery are always clean. The waiting time is incredible, never have to wait for long.”

  “First time going, and really impressed. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Got served our food within 10 tens each time. Pipping hot cooked well and overall really good. Would happily recommend.”
