Customer Review Summary
Tapas is the dish reviewers mention most, with one diner describing six plates between two as succulent and cooked to perfection, another praising Tapas Tuesday, and a third ordering a tapas selection alongside a club sandwich and fries. Close behind are the breakfast and brunch plates, including the smashed avocado brunch, the Korean Seoul Bowl, the lounge breakfast, a bacon sandwich and a toastie called good value. A coeliac reviewer valued the gluten-free menu and its Louisiana Fried Chicken, though one piece was chewy and the portion of fries felt slightly stingy. That reviewer also found the room loud and less relaxing on a busy Saturday, even though food came out almost straight away, and another said the tables and menus could have been cleaner. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and welcoming. One parent with a toddler and a newborn recalls a staff member who, unasked, spent time with the children so she could eat her meal while it was still hot.

“Food is amazing. Had six tapas between the two of us, cooked to perfection - succulent, flavours well considered, very tasty. Service friendly, reasonably quick and very welcoming. Dog friendly too - Ralph has already requested a return visit.”

“Caballero Lounge is conveniently located at The Springs, by Thorpe Park. I decided to come here while passing through the retail park to tick off another Lounge in my “Lounging Around the UK” journey and to enjoy their tried and tested gluten-free menu, which has so much choice for coeliacs! It was very busy, as I visited on a Saturday, but I was still able to get seated. The dining area is large and has plenty of tables, which is certainly needed at such a busy location! Considering how busy they were, my food came out almost straight away. I was shocked at how fast food was coming out of the kitchen! I liked the ambience of the place, including what looked like blue trees on the walls at the bar area, which was pretty cool and made this feel unique compared to other Lounges, while the usual artwork and mismatched furniture remained, so it still felt familiar. I did find it slightly less relaxing here, but this was mainly down to it being loud and busy, but this is something you have to expect when visiting a retail park on a busy weekend. I went for the Gluten-Free Louisiana Fried Chicken, which was pretty good and up to the usual standard I’d expect from Loungers. However, one piece of the chicken was rather chewy, which seemed strange as everything else was OK. I also found the portion size of the fries to be slightly stingy, but despite this, I did enjoy my meal. All in all, Caballero is a good Lounge, and I would return in the future.”

“I had such a wonderful experience here and wanted to highlight the exceptional level of care and customer service we received. As a parent dining with two young children, it can sometimes be difficult to actually get (never-mind enjoy) a hot meal. One member of staff noticed that I was stressed when struggling to eat while keeping both children entertained, and without being asked, she came over and spent some time engaging with them so I could enjoy my food before it went cold. It was such a thoughtful and genuine act of kindness that made a huge difference to my visit. Not just her, but all the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and their attentiveness and care were second to none. It's rare to find customer service that feels so personal and sincere. The food was excellent but what really stood out was the compassion and professionalism of the team. Thank you for making what could have been a very stressful meal as a lone mum (very much sleep deprived) with a toddler and a newborn, into a truly enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning and will highly recommend this restaurant to others.”

Very affordable too. Loved the touch in the ladies bathroom of free sanitary products!! Would definitely recommend and would come again!”
